Dont let manual or other tour guides trick you to do a go for to the owner. Unsafe platforms
Scary terrain

Overall, it should get 3.5 stars to be fair.
This place has been around for more than 12 years and does feel a bit dated, lacking many of the modern upgrades. They have 11 lines and they are good distances across a valley and then across a river with Crocks.
The place is actually only 25 minutes from the Four Seasons (with half of the drive being a bumpy offroad experience). You arrive at what looks like an old farm house from the 1970s. The staff was very friendly (there are only two of them who ride with you the whole time).
The zipline equipment is definitely dated in that they don't have proper braking systems and you have to use gloves to a) stabilize yourself and b) stop at the end of the runs. The guides will help you, but this is the more of the no-frills kind of zipline where you are close to nature. We never felt unsafe, but the equipment could use an upgrade.
You walk on little hiking trails between ziplines, but they are all pretty short walks so its not bad. You launch from platforms that either free standing or hanging from trees. The first 7 lines are across the valley, which is pretty scenic and the last 4 are over the river, which was my favor part. You end up at a little house area with a good spot for pictures.
Pros: Friendly staff, personalized experience, very outward bound (nature) scenic views and good long ziplines.
Cons: Old equipment, requires you to stop yourself (better for people who have done ziplines before) and very rustic place.
Its for the zipline purist. We didn't do the ATVs, but they looked fun.
Note to the owners; Install braking systems please. They cost very little and improve your guest experience significantly....not to mention safety.

We went with 8 people (4 adults, 4 teens) and had a great time. The ziplining was top notch with some super long runs, many over a river with the odd croc floating around. At the end you zipped right into a cool little lunch hut sitting high above the river.
The lunch was GREAT (apps, delicious steak, salad, potato and dessert) and was frankly the best we have had during our stay on Papagayo. Super cold beers made it even better :)
The ATV was challenging over a super rocky course with some steep up and down terrain. Drivers should be experienced for sure.
HIGHLY recommend...and if you get Jorge to drive you, you will get some excellent classic rock both there and back ;)

We went ziplining and followed it up with the atv tour. Our guides for the zipline were very funny and professional. Never gone on an atv through the forest and it was amazing.

Found this tour through Costa Rica Best Trips. We wanted to Zipline but didn't want to drive too far (staying at Marina Papagayo) and they suggested Papagayo Floating and Canopy Tours. We were picked up and driven there, thankfully as the roads were horrible! We were the only ones there, I guess the 100 degree heat scared people away?
We did the ATV first. My husband drove with our older daughter on his ATV, and I took our 5 year old on my ATV. They give you basic instructions and then you practice around their driveway - I wish they had a better practice area with hills because even though we took the "easy and short tour" it was quite challenging. Maybe it was just that it's been over 20 years since driving an ATV or that I had my 5 year old or that it was 100+ degrees - but it was more difficult than I thought it would be. We followed our guide along a very bumpy path through extremely hot and dry terrain (they give you face masks for the inevitable dust). Our guide, Alex, was so patient with me and even took our camera and took pictures of us while he was driving! He was able to capture some great pics for us. He also brought along cold water for us to have a break. Definitely want to wear dark clothes as you will get very dirty.
After making it back to their building, we had more drinks (you can buy Gatorade, etc) and prepared to Zipline. We had planned for all of us, including our 5 year old, but she got cold feet at the last minute. They were super accommodation and let me husband go with our 11 year old while I walked up to the half way point and waited, and then we switched and he stayed behind and I got to Zipline last half, which was the highlight of the course! Several lines over the river and through more jungle where we was owls, owl best with baby, lots of howler monkeys and many iguanas. While crossing the river, we looked for alligators but didn't see any. Alex was our guide again and he took lots of pictures on our camera again, even though they have someone else taking a few and selling them at the end. We ended up buying one as well ($10).
Overall, we would do this again - it was a unique experience I don't think we'd have anywhere else.

Great canopy tour with really nice (and safe!) staff. Only a short and partially bumpy ride from the Four Seasons. Set up via concierge with Swiss Travel Service and our guide Laurence was very informative. Highly recommended!

Went here with my husband and 2 kids (9 and 11) in the height of the holiday season. I was nervous because there are SO MANY ziplining places around and wanted to have a really great experience. The course is great, some long ziplines, flying over a river a couple of times. I'm sure there are others with longer, different or more exotic attractions, others not as scenic and shorter. But, having since ziplined at some of the other places, what set this one apart was the smaller, more private feeling, and the emphasis on safety. This was the only place we ziplined where they had a 2 cable system on each run, instead of the one line used at most courses (I'm not sure this is necessary, but it did attest to the professionalism and care of the place). It was also the only one without big tour buses in the parking lot, large groups, and waits for each run. Had our our own 2 (wonderful) guides for a family of four, never felt rushed or pushed through, and barely saw any other people, as they space out the groups really well. The best experience of the 3 places we visited.

stayed and Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort and its about 20 min drive from the resort. Being the first time, was extremely nervous. The guides were excellent Carlos and Orlando helping to to get warmed up to doing it. 11 stations well planned good scenery (started enjoying after the second station). Safe and and lots of fun. Do not pass it for the fear of it unless you have a height phobia.
We also did 2 h ATV which was also awesome. Orlando took care of us. The scenery was just fantastic. I would recommend starting early to avoid the heat and if you plan to do both like us then do ATV first.
They picked us from our resort and on the whole we had a blast. Thank you orlanda and carlos

We had hired Shaman Tours for several adventures and this was one of them. The drive out was very interesting and then the zip line experience was amazing. The young guys take great care of you and are extremely attentive to safety. We saw a white-faced monkey and a family of howlers. Some of us "flew" upside and "superman" which were amazing experiences; especially that we have never been on a zip line before, If you own a GoPro, some of e helmets already have a mount which is great.
