This was one of my favorite stops, and it was just minutes from the airport along the route to the beaches. Atone is a wonderful, welcoming guy selling excellent coffee (a must try) and local goods; his are higher quality and better priced, and unlike the goods you find in many stores, they actually benefit the local community. Please shop here!

We’d spent the day on a wonderful private boat tour/snorkel trip that launched from Playas del Coco. After lunch we didn’t want to stray too far but wanted a stop before heading back to the resort. The shop popped up through my TripAdvisor app and I read great reviews. We totally agreed! Antonio made my husband a really good espresso and we found a few great souvenirs for family. Things like a pretty serving bowl w/ spoon and a very cool wood serving/hot pad type of thing. Antonio was so funny and very welcoming. Prices seemed reasonable and the shop has great selection. Exactly what we were looking for, especially since the shops in Playas del Coco were a big disappointment.

Our favorite part was the genuine friendliness of Antonio and his wife.
Excellent selection of Costa Rican made art with a wide range of items and pricing; something for everyone.
Per another review here, describing the location, while its on a main thoroughfare, its also easy to miss in driving by.
We highly recommend stopping/shopping /savoring the coffee specialty drinks Antonio make s and simply enjoying this little shop & its owners.

Antonio was super nice and knowledgeable. He knows about not only coffee, but also about the various wood crafts and what type of wood they are made of.
He gave advice on the best coffee to buy depending on your flavor preference. Bean or ground, he has both.
Came for the wood bowls, and they had a nice selection. Different sizes, shapes and quality was good for most pieces.
Also sold pottery, masks, butterflies and jewelry.
If you are looking for souvenirs at a good price, don’t hesitate. Better than the airport.
Pay cash, and he will give you a discount of 10-15%.

We left this little shop with big smiles on our faces. Not only did we get some good deals, we also loved the owners Antonio and Valeria. Antonio speaks english fluently and is a very articulate gentleman. He took the time to chat with us about recent history of the area and he gave us some excellent advice about our planned visit to Palo Verde National Park. There is simply no substitute for local knowledge!
Their young assistant, Diana, helps out in the store but also works in their little cafe and their adjoining outdoor restaurant.
The shop is FULL of local handicraft items. They have a very nice variety of wood carvings, handicraft boxes, pottery, paintings, inexpensive jewelry and Costa Rican coffee. He generously offered us a 10% discount for paying cash even though we didn't ask. Prices in beach towns seem to be about 30 to 50% higher for comparable items.
The shop is located on the main road between Liberia and the beach towns of Conchal, Brasilito, Playa Grande, Playa Flamingo and Palo Verde National Park and other tourist destinations west and south of Liberia.

We flew into Liberia a day early before heading over to Dreams resort. Instead of arriving at the resort late, we decided to get a car and see the sites of Liberia. This location was a 15 minute drive from the airport and had a great selection of hand crafted Costa Rican souvenirs at a reasonable price. (Leaving the airport you’ll turn right at the first light, hwy 21 and go straight down that road about 20 Kim’s.)
In addition to the great selection of souvenirs, you can also get a bite to eat or a coffee.
If you’re in Liberia or passing through, this is a great location to stop in for a few treasures to bring home.

While looking for a place to get some Costa Rican gifts for friends we read about Costa Rica'n Art Craft on Trip Advisor. While skeptical, we figured we could stop by quickly on our way to Playa del Coco. We are so glad we did! Antonio and his wife were fantastic hosts, and my wife found a couple of great reasonably priced local gifts. While there we tried some food and Antonio's ice coffee...both very good! So we recommend a stop for some gifts, food and coffee.

The souvineer shop is great. Fair prices, lots of selection, and not stamped out schlock. Real memories. Then, Antonio added a coffee bar and became a Master Coffeteer (OK, he is a Master but I forgot the exact designation). Frozen Cappacino is TO DIE FOR!!! And when you order food, be prepared for A MEAL and wonderful flavors. Do NOT drive by this place; stop in.
