What an incredible afternoon. We had the best tour guide on our estuary tour. His name was Justin & he was so knowledgeable, cute & fun! We saw crocodiles 🐊 & monkeys. Check out my pictures! Videos wouldn’t upload but they were amazing. You may not see anything but the peace and tranquility is worth it alone!

We used Hector and Tamarindo Explorer for all our transportation needs during our recent family vacation to Costa Rica. His team picked us up at Liberia Airport and drove us to La Fortuna, to Nosara, and back to the airport. Each of his drivers was professional, safe, and always asked if we wanted to make stops for snacks, drink or the restroom along the way. The vans were roomy, cool and well maintained for our family of four. Given that the drive to Nosara can be sketchy in parts in the Green Season due to flooding/potholes, it was amazing to have skilled drivers who know the roads well and can navigate the best route. I would use them in a heartbeat again when we return to Costa Rica. Pura Vida - thank you Hector and Tamarindo Explorer!

Hector and his crew at Tamarindo Explorer are the best! Me and my family use them every time we are in Tamarindo. Cannot recommend enough:)

We have used Tamarindo Explorer the past 4 visits to Costa Rica this past year. Hector always ensure we are picked up at the airport and returned to the airport on time!!
He accommodates a single traveler or a group!! The driver on our last trip , stopped at the grocery store for us , before dropping us off in Tamarindo!!
We also did an ATV beach tour, with our group of 7!! So much fun!!
I would highly recommend Tamarindo Explorer for all your transportation and tour needs!!

The drivers we had were top notch excellent. Very friendly and helped us out tremendously. We needed to go to the store and they helped us out with shopping and everything. If you're looking for the best transport to and from. These guys are it. Definitely will be using this coming in the future.

Wow, the hospitality of Hector our driver taking us from Liberia airport to Blue Spirit retreat 2.5 hours away was the best experience I've had in any foreign country.
He showed genuine compassion for us after having to sit on the tarmac for over 2 hours waiting to deplane in Liberia. Hence making his day over 2 hours longer. His comment to us was Pura Vida (pure life).
We used his shuttle services again on our Way back to the airport and both times his vans were clean, comfortable, on-time and Hector and Steven were very friendly.
Thank you for making a difference on our 1st day of vacation which was a very stressful travel day.

We booked the Rincon de La Vieja tour as recommended by our hotel. It was a wonderful day with Johnny as our guide. He picked us up on time at the hotel, was an expert at navigating the roads in Costa Rica - was very informative about everything, kept a cooler with water and other beverages in the van. On the hike at Rincon de La Vieja he pointed out many different animals and birds (even a keel bill toucan) and give information regarding the fumaroles. The noon meal was delicious. The swim at the waterfall was my favorite part of the tour. Cool refreshing water after a hot day. The hot springs were very relaxing and we saw white faced monkeys on our way out. Johnny even stopped for us to pick up supplies to take back to the hotel. Wonderful tour and guide.

This is our 2nd trip with Roger at Tamarindo Explorer. He is beyond fantastic! So knowledgeable about his country, speaks English very well, navigates the highways and back roads with skill, recommends the best tours depending on interest and abilities. Recommends the best local places to eat....and he's funny! Wellk run, professional company, you simply CANNOT go wrong!

We just returned from the Palo Verde Tempisque River Tour with this company. Our guide was fabulous and supplied so much information, as well as making extra stops along the way to show us examples of things that we asked about. He stopped to give us extra spottings of Howler monkeys and coatis and also to show us various types of trees, plants, fruits and nuts. The boat tour was also awesome and we were able to see Howler and many white faced monkeys up close, as well as crocodiles and many birds. I would say this is a “must do” trip when visiting the area and we were very impressed with our guide

Hi. We are staying in Tamarindo from June 11 - 16th. Looking for good tour to do with husband, daughter 11 and mom. Is there a tour that we can see the National park as well as a volcano? We love wildlife and nature!
