Black Sand!

This is a small beach but very interesting to walk along the black sand. There is an old barge at the end of the beach that has some history to it.

Unique Beach

Playa Negra is one of the most unique beaches I have ever been to. The black sand is interesting and the reflection the water makes on it when wet is beautiful. The waves were a bit rough when we visited but still enjoyable - just watch for riptides. We walked this beach multiple times for exercise and to find various animals on the shore such as hummingbirds and sloths. Another interesting fact I noticed is that this sand is much hotter than the white sand found within town.

posso dire solo che il nome non rende l'idea, la sabbia è proprio nera nera. Quando è asciutta è sottilissima, però è anche molto selvaggia e sporca.

Sand, der aussieht wie Asche

Fotos, die man kaum glauben kann - aber der Sand ist so fein, dass man ihn später als Beweis im Koffer findet. Nicht nur Kinder haben da ihren Spaß. Bei Wolken ist der Sand noch sehr angenehm warm, und es gibt sehr viel Platz für alle Besucher.

Beautiful, Long Beach

Our accommodations were directly on Playa Negra so we enjoyed this beach a fair bit during our holiday. We loved that it was a deep beach with such great walking along the length of it. It was fairly quiet so you could enjoy being at the water with a certain degree of privacy.

Playa Negra era davanti al nostro Hotel, ma non ci è piaciuta molto, ma se ci si sposta più in là, verso Puerto Viejo si trovano spiagge sicuramente più belle
