Great time! Great fishing! Great people! Stayed out extra time trying to get everyone a fish. I got a Yellowfin and another fellow caught a beautiful blue marlin. Best of all, we took home fish fillets for dinner. Great all around.

We had a wonderful half day on the water with Marlin Queen. Unfortunately, we did not get a fish on the day but our skipper tried his best (no one else on the water that morning caught anything either). Lunch and drinks provided. All in a lot of fun and I highly recommend Marlin Queen.

I did a fishing charter with them few weeks ago and this experience really outperformed my expectations.
We catched 5 beautiful yellow-fin tuna medium size and a big one about 60kg.
Eveything from the organization to the return at the wharf has been perfect.
I truly recommend this fishing charter, kind and experienced crew for an amazing fishing day.

My son & husband paid $200 each with the expectation of casting a rod & with any luck catch a fish. They were out for nearly 5 hours, never got to touch a rod & no fish to be caught. The crew were good & did their best to find fish. Totally understand that there are days where no fish is caught but would of been good if they could if at least got to put a rod over the side. My son came home very disappointed.

Did the half day deep see fishing charter with 3 others.
Whilst the boat wasn’t that comfortable, it was well equipped for fishing with a skilful captain.
Caught 5 wahoo during the 5 hour trip, with a couple more that got away.
All in all a good morning, worth the $200 NZD per person.

My two sons and their granddad had an excellent 1/2 day fishing with Nobby's crew. They got away promptly, told the boys it will be rough until they got around the other side of the island, and sure enough it was much more calm where they have picked to fish. The crew were informative and professional, helping the kids to haul in fish, when or if they needed it. They came back with 4 tuna. The crew then filleted and gave us a generous amount to feast on.
The owner, Nobby was great with our kids (one who has special needs). They let him feed the local fish when back on shore (that was amazing to watch!) and was happy to take our fishing mad son, Fletcher, out another day if he was doing a shared charter and had a spare space.
Thoroughly recommend Nobby and his team. We will certainly be back to see them!

Had a nice day on water although a bit rough fish didn't feel like playing too much, the guys were great though and tried hard to find fish we wanted just wasn't our day, did get a few tuna though, will def be back to try again though

We recently went out on Marlin Queen. Two adults and a 13yr old. We all have lots of fishing and boating experience as we live in New Zealand on the coast. Unbeknowen to us, we were the sacrificial family group (as the other group were burly guys who turned out to be mates of the owner) and who got a skipper with local knowledge and experience. Our Captain turned out to be certified by barely 7 months, headed straight out but had no obvious plan, chased a few random birds along the way that were diving, changed the lures once then got my husband to drive for his breaks that got longer n longer. He knocked off at 5 altogether and my husband drove back.
We saw some flags on the GPS but when we reached them he suddenly wanted to bring in all the lures and announced 5.30 thats it. Then headed back at a bone jarring pace. No island time for us
it seems. We stupidly believed him that we would get some fillets from the owners group, who had not one, but two yellowfin tunas (as they
clearly knew where to look for them). However the arrogant and ignorant owner just ignored us completely, sat drinking beer and smoking till we got fed up and got in the car to go ... then laughing with The Boys began filleting his catch as we drove off. If you are not a bunch of guys .... DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on Marlin Queen. The owner wouldnt know customer service if it kicked him up the ass.

Would like to say the people were great. Unfortunately no fish on the day. Disappointed that we couldn’t just stop and hold a rod to try and catch something. Said that we had light refreshments but glad I took my own water. I would look elsewhere.

It worked out to 130ish US currency. Marlin queen 1/2 day was 5 hours.

you Can also take it to local restaurants and they cook it for you if you don't have facilities at your accommodation. I recommend Kikau Hutt. Best meal I've ever had 👌

Hi there. Yes, we are definitely available next week for one out two days depending on if you want private or shared charter. Fishing is pretty good at the moment with a bit of everything around, we have had Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo and Mahimahi this week. Are you on the island yet?
