I always visit this distillery when I am in Juneau, Alaska. Why ? Because they have the best Gin and Tonics ever ! Besides distilling their own Gin with Alaskan grown ingredients they do the same for their tonic water. The people their are awesome. I want to give a shout out to Rachel who not only is knowledgeable about their product but very helpful . I had a chance to talk to her at length and learn about not only their products but also the city of Juneau. If Gin is your thing please go. You will not be disappointed.

Super chill vibe and environment. The staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The Juneauper gin was fantastic! Highly recommend. Cocktails on draft (meh, but made with house made ingredients).

Great atmosphere and delicious unique gin. A good place to just sit and sip something during a rainy afternoon/evening.

We sampled a flights of spirits, which were amazing! The flavored vodkas were incredible and you could tell that this was not an artificial flavoring used to create it. We hen tried a cocktail which was also excellent! We purchased a bottle before leaving, and would have bought more if we had room in the suitcase to do so!

We didn't go to Juneau, but their product is great! Took back bottles for ourselves and friends! I would definitely go here if/when in Jeneau!

Six of us were wandering around town and a girl that we spoke to earlier, suggested we try the drinks. She did not steer us wrong. The drinks are not overpriced, but there is a two drink maximum. So fresh and delicious. The place is hip and open. We loved it.

We are coming back to Juneau in May and the highlight for us will be visiting the distillery!
We were part of a 3 couple family cruise in August of 2019 and being the Gin aficionados that we are fell in love with this Gin! Family gatherings frequently lamment the fact that we did not get any to bring home.
We specifically chose a cruise that would stop in Juneau again because sadly it cannot be shipped :(

Delicious gin drinks -- whether mixed w ginger, pomegranate, basil, mint, raspberry -- the flavors are delicious, and the ambiance is friendly and fun.

Great drinks! I normally am not a huge fan of gin but Amalga is such a fantastic place. Love the environment too!

I had a chance in January to visit this Distillery on several occasions. I will tell you why in a minute. This place is still very new. It opened the year I first delighted Juneau with my presence. Ok, maybe not but it was there the first time I had been to Juneau. Better ? My understanding it opened in 2018. It only makes Gin at this point but had a Whiskey in the makings that should be ready later this year.
Now for the delicious scoop. It has several concoctions of drinks on their menu that showcases what their Gin can do in a cocktail. They have several to choose from but it is limited and by liquor laws of the state they can only use the liquor they make. That being said they have come up with libations which uses natural ingredients and as close to locally sourced as possible to their area. Ok, enough of that what I want to say is important and that is while tasting several samples of their drinks which were all quite excellent my favorite was the Gin and Tonic. Wow, you have to be kidding you say. Nuh uh. It is the BEST Gin and Tonic I have EVER had from coast to coast and I have been coast to coast. What makes this drink that impressive is their Gin is locally sourced and they make their own tonic. It only cost $5.00 and that is a huge plus. This is why I went as many times as I could. Their hours are Monday through Friday 3 pm til 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday 1 pm to 8 pm. Please go visit them if you are in Juneau, Alaska.

Dear Ron, Thank you so much for stopping in and trying a variety of our drinks! I am so happy. to hear that you had a good experience. We are really proud of our gin and tonic- we are still using the same tonic recipe my husband and I developed years ago at our cabin. We have been working hard at distilling and aging our whiskey since opening our doors and can't wait to begin sharing it with customers this spring! An excuse for you to come back? :)
