穿过树林斜坡阶梯一路走下去, 远远望去, 有如走进一座山谷中的世外桃园, 山寨沿溪谷而盖, 有小桥穿越溪谷与大小瀑布. 可静静坐下来欣赏或沿溪谷来回走走. 到Sapa 别忘了去这个地方.

我们住在Cosiana酒店，决定步行去Cat Cat Village。从Cosiana酒店到Cat Village大约需要35分钟。我们买猫村的门票花了7万越南盾。穿过楼梯的小路上有卖传统服装、围巾、手工手镯和包袋的商店，而这条楼梯又通往瀑布和蝴蝶花园的下坡方向，所以这意味着当我离开Cat Cat Village时也要沿着这条小路爬楼梯。这对我来说是个挑战。而爬楼梯离开猫猫村的路上,我们撞上了前一天带我们去Ta Van Village 的导游,她告诉我们可以通过主干道离开猫猫村，道路就在蝴蝶花园的旁边，爬楼梯是很累人的。在主干道上，几个骑摩托车的人提出以10万越南盾的价格载我们一程，我摇了摇头，价格降到了8万越南盾。其中一个说:“嘿，只要4美元。”我告诉他，我不是美国人！我想告诉他，我不用美元，明白吗？但我认为他不明白我的意思。我们没有理会他们，决定继续步行去Cosiana酒店，我们花了45分钟才到达Cosiana酒店，因为我们是朝着上坡的方向走的。我们很满意，因为我们做到了，虽然我们很累，但是我们把它当成了一个很好的锻炼。

我和我的朋友是第一次来这里。我们在猫猫村、萨帕、老街留下了难忘的回忆。我爱上了这里的自然风景、空气和友善的人。我们拍了一些纪念照片，让我们可以记住这一点。

猫猫村是相当的商业化了，但相比Sapa其他的村落来说，它绝对可以为你提供一个独特的视角。除了在漫步梯田时你可以看到sapa周围的风景，还有令人惊叹的瀑布，以及你也可以参观当地的传统民居。距离sapa城区只有30分钟的步行路程，但往回走有点困难，所以我选择了骑摩托车，这花了我30000越南盾，但我认为这很值得。

猫猫村离沙坝市中心很近。你可以步行来到这里，或者当你离这有点远的时候租一辆摩托车来到这。这里的入场费为7万越南盾，这是值得的。在参观的第一部分中，你有很多购物的机会(这里有很多商店)，而且你越大方，你能买到的东西就越神奇。在下山的路上，你还可以欣赏到山谷的美景，那里有足够的地方可以喝一杯或者拍一张好照片。这次旅行最好的部分是沿着河流和瀑布下山。整个旅程大约需要半天的时间，并且需要经过一些陡峭的台阶。在这里你需要爬很多台阶，记得为徒步旅行做好准备。我在沿途还能驾驶我的无人驾驶飞机(大疆火花)欣赏一些景点，并且还去到了一座村庄进行了一次短途飞行。这是完全没有任何问题的。

这个地方离萨帕大约1公里，你需要支付7万越南盾的门票，但这是值得的。你需要走很多楼梯才能参观这个小镇，但它非常漂亮，到处都是卖苗族和越南手工制品的小商店。还有一个美丽的花园和瀑布。老实说，如果我能从第一天起就看到这个地方，我就不会去北河市集，那里离萨帕只有2个半小时的路程，你需要坐公共汽车或租车。

Is there a hand rail on the steps down to Cat Cat village? Is it doable for a 67 year old with arthritic knees if we take our time? I understand that we can hire a motorbike to go up the hill when exiting? I have read that it is very touristy, but we would like to visit anyway.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The entrance I took through the top of the village and down, there is certainly no type of handrail down the stairs into cat cat and it is quite uneven (multiple different sections of steps in front of little shops etc). I would NOT suggest this way.
If you are going to visit, I would suggest hiring a car/bike to the most southern entrance, and entering that way. It seems all those steps concrete were poured at around the same time so it's more even. Unfortunately, I don't remember if there is a handrail.
I don't know much about arthritis, so I'm not quite sure how to answer this, but it is quite steep. I would proceed with caution. Good luck!

What are the stairs down like? How many stairs/how many flights from the entrance at the top, through the village to the bottom? Could a 75 year old with slight knee problems walk all the way down for example?

Please chose the entrance at the end of asphalt road. First entrance is at least hundred meters elevation higher than second one, close to bigger parking 🅿️ place should be easier. You will avoid some problems. There are many taxi 🚕 as well. Otherwise this village was for me rather commercial. If you would like to see real villages pls visit Muong Hoa valley with rice paddies and villages. Great views, nice walk and no traffic

Hi there,
Cat-cat village is definitely an easy-medium track especially for elders. On November, I believe it will be colder but bearable considering the winter is coming. Just make sure, you are equip with suitable clothes and you are good to go!

Due to the language barrier, you need to have a good guide. Best to book it with your hotel or your travel agents. Cat Village is quite near my hotel.

Can we walk on our own from Sapa Centre Hotel to Cat Cat Village or do we need a guide? I read that it is only 3km away.

You can walk without a guide. However when you reach the village you will pay an entrance fee. Be prepared. Wide brimmed hat , walking shoes/boots, water.
You are 1600 m above see level heading down a steep path to the village.
The village is great to see and beautiful waterfalls.
You then walk through the village and back up a steep path to the town.
Or organize a vehicle to meet you at the bottom car park to drive you back up the mountain.
Then head for a chilled beer , you’ve earned it
