After relying on these reviews… we went to Nagley’s…. To say it was a “disappointment” would be an omission of truth!!!
It may be the go to for locals, but for tourists, it is nothing but a filthy place for soda… do pass this one up!

Stopped in to escape the pouring rain. Charming and friendly store with all the stuff one may have forgotten to pack. Especially enjoyed the ice cream and the service with a smile.

It’s worth a visit just from an historical perspective. It is an iconic place in Talkeetna. There are not a lot of things offered for the average tourist. Pleasant staff.

It may be the towns General Store but the history and cool factor of the building is worth checking out alone! I even got the pet the cat of the establishment!

We wanted some drinks and water and snacks while we were at Talkeetna and this was probably the only place to realistically buy anything while in Talkeetna in Winter, without having a car to drive back to to the main interstate to the supermarket there.
You could get the basic items you needed there.
We just got some snacks and water.
They also have a liquor store next door as well.
Some people gave this place a bad wrap that we had talked to, but we found it ok.
It was on East Main street which is centrally located in Talkeetna.
It is just a local store run by a local.

Is it a general store? A tourist attraction? Both? I think it's both. Full of character, I bought a couple Cat Mayor stickers, explored upstairs, and came back down. Like most of Talkeetna for a day tripper, it's a quick look around and then move on to the next thing.

Old timey general store. Gotta see it if you visit Talkeetna. Has the locals for all the charm you’d expect from a small town.

Very overpriced and small. But if you’re desperate for over-the-counter supplies, it’s necessary. To be fair, I didn’t check out the rest of the store.

Nice store with the basics. Set in an older building with lots of charm. Prices were reasonable for what it is. It was fun looking around.

While we were at Nagley's three times, we never saw him.
He is very old and rarely is out for visitors now.
We were there last November early (2016)
