It was great to watch a video in here and also all of the informative pics & things on the wall to educate ourselves on salmon and the history & more about the Talkeetna, Alaska area... thank you very much!!!

Walking in this quiescent town of Talkeetna, we followed the salmon sign to the Susitna Salmon Center. We were surprised to discover such a great place to lean about Alaska salmons. The is live salmons in the tanks, excellent video room for a fun and educational film about salmon and proposed hydro dam in the Susitna river, and excellent local arts of Alaska salmon. All proceeds from the center support the preservation of native fishes and their habitats. Highly recommend if you are visiting Talkeetna: lean the science, enjoy the art works, and supports its cause. The volunteer lady from Florida is super nice and informative.

Like the museum, they had a video about the area. We found it very interesting about the salmon and the debate over building a dam. They had some cool things in the gift shop - I love my fish vertebrae earrings!

Well worth the stop! Lots of great local artwork. Al goest to a great cause. The volunteers manning the site were really great.

Educational and very interesting. Great spot to visit to gain an appreciation of all things salmon. Were very happy to get a piece of artwork to bring home to remind us of our visit.

All things salmon! A fun little attraction. Combination education center and gift shop. Go upstairs and seethe small fry in the fish tanks.

I really liked the gift shop. They had several items by the Alaskan artist Ray Troll. They has fish upstairs and science info. The staff was friendly and helpful.
