I had just a few spare hours before my flight. So I spent an hour or so walking around here. Pleasant enough and maintained well. I enjoyed my visit.

We are in Bloem for a few days and will be relocating here soon. Came with the family and enjoyed it. So relaxing to have a picnic and forget that you are in the city.

Had a great time at the gardens. Especially enjoyed the garden with all the succulents. Good restaurant overlooking the dam. Magnificent spot for bird watching!

this place was amazing, very cheap to go in and really lots to see especially if you are a birdie fanatic or plant freak. Nice picnic areas to sit and relax. loved the hiking trails, a must do, pics do not want to upload to pc, :( but guys its a view that you will not see anywhere in the world.

This was my second visit to the Gardens its a well maintained beautiful and peaceful place the entrance fee is so cheap 28 Rand under £2 & $2.
I walked all around to the top of the hill and down with nice views. There are plenty of different birds to see on my first visit in March 2018 the dam didn't have any water in it but this time it did so able to watch many waterfowl there is a bird hide to view them, I saw a coot couple building a nest on the dam I loved it watching the male swimming out to collect twigs for the female to build her nest it was so sweet.
Later in the afternoon the Mongooses come out and walk around. The restaurant is very cheap with nice food too just be careful of the swallow who seems to like to attack you as you enter the restaurant.
My only suggestion to make it better is to put the price up a little and supply a map I have seen some people complain about the noise from the Motorway but unless there is a very noisy lorry you hardly notice it.

Nice place to have a romantic picnic under the trees by the lake. There are short hiking trails you can follow.

Grass is green with ample shades for picnics.
No balls of any kind though...
Two walking trails. One is suitable for young children, around 30min give and take.
The other one is more challenging.
Come early in summer~

My Family and I had recently visited the Botanical gardens. The place was very quiet with no loud noises and amazing scenery. It is an amazing place to spend the day with your family, with many things to see and do. Whether you want to braai, go for a walk through the garden or venture out onto the hiking trials; you wont be dissapointed. The restaurant buffet is very good as well and prices are reasonable.
Overall a good enjoyable experience!

Great place to enjoy with the family. Ideal picnic spot. Hiking trail if you into it, great views from the top.

Hi entrance fee about R30 - R40 pp, children charges are cheaper, take sunscreen and a hat.
