We utilized Cape Trio Tours for our excursions while in Capetown. We really enjoyed Big G and his Pops. They are fun, flexible, dependable, etc. We couldn't have asked for anything better! Highly recommend Cape Trio Tours, you will not be disappointed.

If you want to see Cape Town and beyond, you have to go with BIG-G (AKA: Granwell)
Our airline crew went on a 1 day tour of all the main areas and highlights. (Wish we had met on arrival day but he was booked). You gotta take a tour with Big-G. He's a very friendly and knowledgable man. And a vey safe driver on the winding roads. A great addition is that his dad, who everyone calls "Pops" come along on some of the tours. Be sure to engage him in conversation to learn a lot about SA...While "G" can give you tour suggestions, you can design and discuss your on plans. He's very flexible.(Some tour operators are too rigid and you can't divert.) There is no serious time schedule you need to stick with with "G." Set your own pace. If you want to stop at a shop, roadside stand or pull into McDonalds for a shake (be sure to treat G and his dad) or you see a cool looking place to eat, just tell him. We double back to a great place, FRANS, in Simon town, sat there and had a great lunch.
Book with 'BIG-G' when you go to Cape Town. You won't be disappointed.

We did 3 tours with Big G! He is an excellent t guide. Knows how to avoid crowds, where to get the beat pictures. He has recommendations for everything from tailor made African dresses to where to get the best deals. A+ service. He does what he says he is going to do. When I return to CapeTown I will definitely roll with Big G!

Thank you Granwell for making this an incredible trip. Big G took such wonderful care of the ten of us. He was prompt and made sure to go at a good pace. He’s very knowledgeable and safe. His van was comfy. And he’s just a great guy. He will take great care of your crew.

Granwell (Big G) was our tour guide and driver for our stay in Cape Town. While we had some idea of what we wanted to do, we gave Big G a sense for our priorities and he curated a wonderful stay for us. He's super knowledgeable of the area, so when things fell through (e.g., a restaurant we wanted to try and didn't make reservations for was unavailable), Big G thought on his feet and set us up quickly at a fabulous alternative. He set up a wonderful day of wine tasting, was patient when we took a ridiculous number of photos and made sure our needs were taken care of. Granwell was a total professional - arrived early to pick us up each day, all of his estimates re: time of travel, etc. were accurate which helped us with planning. Most important - Granwell is a wonderful spirit. His energy is infectious and I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about his kidness and hospitality.

Thanks to Big G for curating an amazing tour here in Capetown for my travel mates and me. Each day exceeded our expectations and I’m forever grateful for this experience and journey that I will remember for the rest of my life. I got both of the best worlds during this trip. We did the main attractions and got in on some local action as well. The history lessons and breathtaking views from different angles/areas of the mountains was simply amazing. I will be back again and without a doubt I will be booking my tour with Big G.

Cape Trio Tours is without a doubt the best touring company in South Africa. Granwell is extremely bright, knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour and appreciation of the flora, fauna and wildlife of this region. We visited various wineries all with different types of wine and they were all great. Can't wait to go back !!

We booked a day tour for Granwell to take us to Cape Town’s wine country called Stellenbosch. We were picked up on time and the vehicle was immaculately clean. We drove to several vineyards and spent the most lovely day tasting wine. Our tour even included an exclusive detour to one of the cellars where we sampled wine right out of the barrel. Before it was even bottled.
We ate lunch in one of the most beautiful vineyards as we sipped wine. It was the perfect excursion / day trip. We even walked thru the actual vineyards where the grapes were growing. It made for the best pictures.
Granwell was so knowledgeable about wine it was like we had our own personal sommelier as a tour guide. If you are in Cape Town for more than a day, this wine tour absolutely must be on your itinerary. I tell friends that go to South Africa to get their date on the calendar in advance.
We ate lunch in one of the most beautiful vineyards as we sipped wine. It was the perfect excursion / day trip. We even walked thru the actual vineyards where the grapes were growing. It made for the best pictures.

Granwell is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to make the tour personalized to your group. We had an amazing tour, great wineries, and an all around great time! I recommend him a thousand times over!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Will be in Cape Town for ONE full day in January, is it possible to do a tour?..Robben Island, a Winery, or Table Mt. Cableway?

Hello it is possible to do Robben Ilsand in the morning and the Winelands in the afternoon yes .
But to much on one day can maybe be to much of a rush .
