What a joke

Beautiful building but there is more art in my hotel room. I can't believe the arrogance of the museum. Anyway it's a good indictment of what is wrong with modern art. The display on revolutionaries forming artistic committees in response to violent governments was interesting hut sadly gives the impression that there's no need for a continued struggle against corruption.

Amazing building, nothing in it

Wonderful building but no african art. The only exhibition currently there is by a British artist! Sculpture garden empty, and most floors closed or no access. What a waste of money

Dont go to the zeitz mocaa
Waste of money and waste of time. The sculpture garden is empty. We came with high expectations and we came out of the museum very disappointed.

Experienced the most amazing art at the Silo 2.
So glad we went, could not have missed this. So colourful, diverse, energetic and still learning something new everyday.

A wonderful insight into the contemporary art of africa
The exhibits we got to see on our visit today gave a great insight to art or perspectives regarding africa and its people. The curation was superb in my opinion, and the museum itself was a building that gave a great frame to the artwork exhibited. Sadly some floors were unavailiable as new exhibits were being installed, but I wont subtract anything from my praise as this was hardly anything that could be handled differently.
Well worth a visit if you are interested in contemporary art!

Großartige Architektur

Wir haben das Zeitz MOCAA zum ersten Mal besucht und sind sehr beeindruckt. Das Gebäude alleine ist schon ein Highlight. Da wir auch die Ausstellung WHEN WE SEE US besuchen konnten, waren wir restlos begeistert. Das Viertel um das MOCAA hat sich in den letzten Jahren hervorragend entwickelt und bietet nun weitere Hotels, gute Gastronomie und einen gehobenen Handel.

Muito acima da média
Excelente museu de arte africana, esculturas, pinturas, vídeos é muito mais que retratam a cultura da região. Precisará de 1 hora e meia no mínimo para visitar todos os andares

A MUST SEE IN CAPE TOWN
The building is so understated, just a silo from the outside.
What a gasp of delight awaits in the entrance hall. It overpowers you, like standing underneath the dome of St.Peter’s .
The current exhibition “When we see us” is a true celebration of South African art over the past one hundred years..
GILT by Mary Evans is a beautiful show and the ‘Not Working(working title’ is breathtaking

The shop is well stocked with must have quality.
The staff throughout the building are delightful and a special thanks to Morne Wagner for sorting out my debit card payment for the fabulous exhibition catalogue.

Bon musée d’art moderne africain
Super musée, situé à 5 minutes à pied du Waterfront.

L’architecture est impressionnante à la intérieur (ne pas hésiter à descendre au sous sol).

J’ai beaucoup apprécié les œuvres d’art qui sont très moderne et venant de toute l’Afrique. Il y a surtout des tableaux.

Se fait très bien en 1h30

We weren't expecting too much from this museum but we were wrong. This place is fantastic. It should be on everyone's list when visiting Cape Town.
