I had an amazing hike up Table Mountain with Lynette! Her knowledge of the mountain’s history, flora and fauna made the experience so much richer. She pointed out various plants, explaining their unique adaptations. Lynette’s engaging stories made this hike unforgettable. Highly recommend her for anyone wanting a deeper connection to Table Mountain.

Margaret guided us on a suitable walk/hike up Table Mountain. We went for the (relatively) easy Platteklip Gorge.
Lynette was our amazing guide. Great comms beforehand, picked us up (and droppped us off) at the hotel.
Really informative during the walk and gave us some super guidance that we used during our stay. Some really important advice about the various Flora en route!! Basically...you are better off with a guide!
There was a group of 3 of us in this walk, the pace was good/challenging, but hugely rewarding to get to the top in a good time.
We started the walk at 6am...Lynette guided that this particluar route gets very busy sometimes, but (amybe due to the cycling event?) it was pretty quiet.
Thanks Lynette! we had an amazing start to our day. We would highly recommend.

Hiking in the dark with headlamps up Lion's Head and arriving there for sunrise was probably the most memorable experience of Cape Town for me! We were a small group led by Lynette who was amazing - easy and safe at the same time; friendly and very helpful; very knowledgeable about plants, history and today's Cape Town.

Wonderful experience, however I am having trouble getting a refund i was promised by staff as i upgraded my ticket to fast track as the queue to go back down from the top of mountain was over an hour wait. I have been speaking to someone named Anthea and then they suddenly stopped answering, after i gave them my personal details and bank details. This was 2 weeks ago and nobody has replied, I am starting to to get nervous as i gave my personal details over.

Lynette was a fabulous, experienced guide for our Platteklip Gorge hike. She told us about the plants we were seeing and was patient when I needed to stop to rest. Great to get to the top before the first cable car to experience the summit in quiet. Nice sense of accomplishment at the top.

Thank you very much to Lynette for the most
wonderful walk /scramble on the India
Venster Table Mountain trail on Wednesday 12th. Prior to the walk her texts provided us with
all the info and it was great that she collected us from our apartment and delivered us back! The trail was challenging in parts, but with Lynette as our expert guide we were in very safe hands. Not only did she guide us extremely well, she also gave us lots of info on the plants etc.
We hope to return to Cape Town again very soon where we will certainly contact Lynette to arrange another hike.
You will need to be fairly fit and have a good head for heights on this route but if two mid 60 year olds can do it (with Lynette’s help) in 3 hours (plenty of rest stops) then you can as well. We would highly recommend. Thank you Lynette for a memorable experience.

Great communication from the start. I did the Kasteelspoort route with Kathy - fantastic views of Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles in the early morning sun. Kathy was very knowledgable about all aspects of the mountain from geology to history and biology. I especially enjoyed learning about all of the unique flora and fauna. A superb experience!

We had a fantastic day walking up table mountain. Lynette was extremely knowledgeable about the history, flora and made the trip interesting and fun. She took account of our different levels of fitness and have time for rest and food. The view from the top was out of this world

The guided hike up Platteklip Gorge was such a great experience. The hike is steep and is stepped most of the way but is not technically difficult and includes no scrambling. There was plenty of time at the top and we took the cable car down although hiking down was possible.
Our guide, Liesl, was knowledgable and interesting to chat with about the mountain and Cape Town in general. We enjoyed her company and she was so much fun, giving us tips for our holiday, explaining the plants/sights we saw on the route and giving encouragement to us throughout. She also told us about other trips that could be arranged such as the penguins at boulder beach and the cape of good hope along with other hikes and tips for seeing the sunrise at lions head. We would have liked to do some of these if we had more time in CT. Liesl also helped us with photos along the route and suggested good viewpoints along the way.
From the point of booking (and questions before) Margaret was very helpful in arranging the hike and introduction to our guide. We were picked up and dropped off directly from our accommodation and had prior correspondence with Liesl by WhatsApp to arrange final collection details. We were also offered to be dropped elsewhere if we were continuing our day but we wanted to freshen up. It was a very hot day and so Liesl suggested an earlier start and this was all pre arranged the day before. She also showed us how to use ‘African Air Con’ which my Wife loved.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Table Mountain Walks and would certainly book again if we were back in Cape Town.

We hiked Lion's Head Mountain two weeks in a row and loved doing it. Our hike guides were both amazing, Lisl and Lynnette! I highly recommend the experience and these guides!! 5 stars!

The trails start from different locations, one from Tafelberg Rd, the others from Camps Bay, Theresa Ave and Kirstenbosch Gardens.

I would do Table Mountain. Lion's Head is also lovely but does get busy. I also do Lion's Head for the sunrise so with the very early start you are finished around 8.30a.m. so you could possibly do both but not on the same day!

Hi, how fit do you need to be to do this walk? My father, 67 and uncle 72 are visiting Cape Town in March for the first time, I would like to see if we can do this as this would be very special. They are not hikers but they are both in good health conditions.

Thanks you for your enquiry. A reasonable to good level of fitness is preferable. The route is steep and all stepped so especially for an older person regular aerobic exercise is a prerequisite.. The terrain is uneven in places so good balance is essential - the route is not technical but most would regard it as strenuous.
