We went three times. First, just to look. Second, my wife bought a beautiful jacket. Third, I bought a jacket and belts. I loved the store. First, if you are from the States you will be impressed by the high quality and fair prices. There are a variety of styles from classic to more contemporary. The craftwork is superb. Second, the entire staff is both expert and friendly. Third, we were lucky enough to meet the owner Silvia. You will feel like your visiting a home. Finally, our friends wanted some changes and within a few days had individually crafted jackets. A great place to

I had the pleasure of visiting Buenos Aires for the first time, and one of the highlights of my trip was getting a custom-made leather jacket. Silvia and her team were absolutely amazing throughout the entire experience. From the moment I walked into the shop, they made me feel welcome and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for.
Silvia's expertise in leather and fashion was evident, as she guided me through the different styles, fits, and colors. She listened carefully to my preferences and offered valuable suggestions that made the final product even better than I had imagined. The attention to detail and the quality of craftsmanship were outstanding.
What impressed me the most was the level of customer service. Silvia and her team were patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with my jacket. I was lucky that when I arrived I had the shop to myself. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and the end result was a beautifully tailored jacket that fits like a glove.
Silvia’s store is truly a gem and she brought me upstairs to show me where they used to tailor the clothes pre-pandemic. She offered me tea and cake and truly gave me a warm welcome and VIP experience. I came into her store wanting my first custom leather jacket and her jackets in store were so gorgeous I ended up purchasing another off the rack.
When I came to pick up my jackets, Diego, Sofi and Camila were so amazing that when I asked for an alteration before I headed out to the airport they called their tailor to come in quick and made the alteration within the hour. Loved their attention to customer service. My friend was with me at my pickup and loved their items and bought his own goat skin leather jacket. Our first luxury leather purchase as a souvenir of Buenos Aires.
If you're ever in Buenos Aires and in the market for a custom leather jacket, I highly recommend visiting Silvia and her team. Their professionalism, skill, and dedication to customer satisfaction make them the best in the business!

Silva and staff welcomed us into their store with open arms and high quality, beautiful products at great price points. We visited many leather stores in search of bags, coats and belts. Nothing compares to the full experience of meeting Silva and learning about how she picks the materials and makes everything upstairs. She can even do alterations onsite. The was the perfect authentic Buenos Aires experience to end our time in Argentina.

The best place to buy leather in a city full of great places! They can — and do — customize right on site with the most professional results possible. Prices and quality are better by far than some of the known brands, and you’re supporting a family business. Literally worth the trip to Buenos Aires just to shop here!

We had 2 jackets made and they arrived 4 weeks later. Both fit perfectly, the quality of leather and workmanship is unparalleled . We could not be more satisfied. It is very difficult to purchase leather today where the leather is not stretched to the "nth" degree and workmanship good. At Silvia Y Mario, one gets a premium item for the price of an "average" quality item, which, on top of that, may need adjustments for a proper fit. Do not hesitate- look the website up-several models to choose from , with different options for leather, colour. If one wants something different, send a photo with proper measurements (that information is found on the website and also on "YouTube" and you are on your way to getting a beautiful garment that will last many years to come!

This is a gem of a shop. Their handmade leather and fur goods are beautifully crafted, unique and reasonably priced. Everyone in the shop is also incredibly knowledgeable about all the different materials and cuts and they helped me find pieces that fit perfectly and complemented my style. I had a hard time stopping myself from buying even more than I did. Customer service is top notch and getting to meet and talk to Silvia while shopping was an extra treat.

As a family owned and operated business, Diego and his siblings helped me and my spouse find the perfect leather jackets.
The jackets and leather goods are of the highest quality, and world class craftsmanship. All the jackets are handmade in the store from premium Argentina leather and additional animal hides.
The prices are fantastic for the level of superior work and craftsmanship.
For anyone looking for a great jacket made from local Argentinian leather and materials this is the place. I would highly recommend Silvia and Mario, and can’t wait to come back to Buenos Aires to get another jacket.

My friend and I had the pleasure of visiting Silvia y Mario while on a shopping tour of Buenos Aires with ShopHopBA (which I definitely recommend). The store has so many beautiful things and the staff were able to give very valuable input into recommended fit, fabric, lining, etc. We loved the experience so much that we purchased several jackets (including one that was custom-made), and accessories. I'd without a doubt recommend Silvia y Mario to anyone traveling to Buenos Aires!

Silvia y Mario is by far the best leather atelier in the city. The personal touch that Silvia and her team gives to the experience makes it a unique one. The design, variety, and quality are superb. The size of one of the pieces was not available and Silvia made it custom for me. They showed us their workshop and even had a chance to drink coffee with cake that Silvia herself prepared for us. I will be in BA, following a cruise in 2 weeks. Based upon your wonderful reviews we be looking to buy a leather coat and jacket when we visit your store on a monday.
