Depending of what you wanna do in Buenos Aires is a bloody good alternative when it comes to nightlife and restaurants because there is absolutely no end of it. Its a lovely neighborhood as well and we felt real safe walking around here towards night time

Buenos Aires is beautiful, with a century-old architecture.
However, it has been in economic crisis for many years, generating social imbalance and depletion of infrastructure.
The state of conservation of the city is very chaotic.
The Argentine economy is dollarized and the cost of the country is really high.
Accommodation and food cost approximately twice as much as Europe.

Palermo is a residential and entertainment neighborhood, there you will find: green areas, parks , forests and varied trade.
Ideal for enjoying the vegetation, gastronomy and culture of the city.

It has changed the neighborhood of Palermo a lot and for bad, very dirty, abandoned, you can not sit down to relax to drink or eat something that rains people asking for money, all good one or two but you could not have a conversation that every two minutes interrupt you to ask for money or sell you stockings, the corner of Plaza Serrano, you can not breathe the smell of trash, we went to Plaza Armenia to take my granddaughter to the games, the tall pasture, full of marihuaneros, we crossed Juan B Just to go to the other Palermo, people sleeping on the sidewalks, the smell of dog pee burns on the nose, not to mention that there was dog poop too, the truth being such a tourist neighborhood, I do not recommend anyone stop there

We spent a day in the city after disembarking from a cruise ship. We took a walk through the park and then walked into the more commercial area. We stopped at the mosque (Mezquita de Palermo), where we found a group tour underway. We had dinner at Al-Rawhse, an excellent halal restaurant serving Lebanese food.

I enjoyed the visit to this area, there are four segments within Palermo and I spent time in Soho and Hollywood areas. Both areas have lovely neighborhood vibes, cafes and restaurants to choose from but the fact that everywhere we stopped people kept telling us to watch our belongings really began to put me off this area.

Excellent neighborhood to stay in BA!
It was our first time in town and we stayed on Airbnb at Fray Justo. Great location!
Close to the Holy Faith, with great access to public transportation.
Although I noticed that the city lived with unwavering social inequality, I did not feel insecure. It is necessary to be alert, as anywhere, but it is not comparable to cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
I'd stay in that neighborhood again.

Palermo has several neighborhoods.
SoHo (5 stars): Fun and happening, lot of shops and restaurants, and street art (look down all the alleyways!).
Hollywood (2 stars) Quiet and charming with some restaurants. If you are tight on time, you can miss this section. Probably just good for a brunch place.
Antique Market (5 stars)(in Hollywood). We loved this market. Don’t miss it if you are into antiques! Lots of cases, glassware, lamps. My husband forced us to leave after 2 + hours!

We were able to visit the PALERMO quarter. This neighborhood is really nice with very nice shops and houses. This is one of the trendy neighborhoods of this city.

Great area to stay. Lots to see and do. I felt quite safe. Lots of restaurants. People were quite friendly.
It was central to stay and then Use as a base. It seemed to have a mix of whatever you could want available close by.
Side street even seemed like parking was available.

I am planning to visit BA for three days prior to a cruise. We are looking at a hotel in Palermo but have some concern over traveling to other sites in BA for sightseeing. Would you recommend we stay in Palermo or choose another hotel more centrally located. How long does it take to travel from Palermo to the city center.

Você pode ir pra Palermo de metrô tb...descer na Plaza de Italia, lá fica pertinho do zoo, do jardim botânico, do rosedal e do jardim japonês...só nesses lugares vc perde fácil um dia....mas se conseguir ainda pode andar pelas ruazinhas e ir no La Cabrera que é bem famoso, gostei muito tb do Las Horas também, e tem a feirinha do bairro que acho q acontece diariamente e as lojinhas do bairro que são ótimas!!! Super recomendo!!! E tem excelentes restaurantes tb!!!
