This was a total waste of time on a beautiful sunny day. The connection to Dante is really tenuous and there is a lot of waiting around. The guide was very good but it wasn’t her fault, she wasn’t working with great material. Did her best to make it interesting.
The only redeeming factor was the time spent in the light house. If you cannot climb or don’t like tight spaces, this isn’t the attraction for you. We weren’t impressed at all and couldn’t wait to get out.

I was disappointed with this tour, so well-listed here! The visit is summed up with comments on the history of the building, which was inspired by the divine comedy of Dante! The architecture is beautiful yes, but you can see it from the ground floor! There is nothing interesting on the upper floors, which houses shops and offices! There are no paintings, sculptures, nothing that relates to the magnitude of the author's work Florentino! Not worth the cost!

Amazing building with a rich history. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Would recommend this as something to do in Buenos Aires.

I enjoyed the tour, though the relation to Dante was a little subtle.
The design of the building is interesting and some attention has been paid to keeping the building looking like an office building from the 1920s. That was interesting. The tower provides a great view of the city. Tickets sold in the lobby were 36000 ARS, about US$34.

Unmissable visit, by history, architecture, by environment.
We did the guided tour including the climb to the lighthouse which is very good, with some difficulty for very large people. The guide very friendly and willing to answer questions

Architecture from the 1920s can be experienced here on 22 floors. It becomes interesting for anyone to ride up in one of the many historic elevators (with scissor-grids) and wonder why so many people still work in the tiny offices (monument protection) today.
The absolute highlight: a visit to the lighthouse and the roof of the building. This is only possible on foot via narrow stairs and in small groups. Once upstairs you enjoy the view over the city and if the guide is nice, then she even turns on the historic beacon for 3-4 turns.
For this moment alone, it is worth the not quite inexpensive guided tour, which can be booked centrally in the entrance hall every hour. You don’t expect this in Buenos Aires and you can’t experience it in this form in Europe. Conclusion: an absolute must for individual travellers (groups do not go in terms of space).

Inaugurated in 1923 this is an office building and not really a palace. It once was BA's tallest building. The roof is at 100m. Special about the building is the eclectic style. Italian architect Mario Palanti brought together neo-gothic, art deco and even Islamic elements from India into one design. Especially the facade looks like one of a maharadja palace in Rajastan.

Highly Recommend. Sylvana was our guide and she handled a group of about 22 people in both English and Spanish efficiently and with a smile. She provided the interesting history of how investor Luis Barolo had a vision to create a Dante (Divine Comedy) themed office building. It has functioning Swiss gated elevators and many balconies (where you can pretend you are Evita and Juan Peron) and bronzes of Barolo and his architect Palanti (that you can take photos with). The tour brings you back to 1923 when the building opened with its decor and design. It was a fairly quick tour at about 1.5 hours. We should have gone at sunset as it looks beautiful and the view from all the many balconies is spectacular. Nevertheless, our morning tour was still very lovely with brilliant blue skies coming through every window.

Great view from the lighthouse and an interesting story told on the way up. If you want to be there for sunset, book a slot starting an hour earlier, that way you will in the lighthouse for the sunset. The glass of wine was a bit of a small serving considering the tour price.

Mucha suerte..

I am correct in saying you climb 6 flights of stairs? Do you walk back down or ride elevators? Ali’s is the tour mainly in Spanish?
撰写日期:2019年10月20日
The tour was in Spanish and English with Spanish being primary. I speak Spanish, so it was fine for me. You do walk up and down several flights at two different points. The last set of stairs is a rather narrow, winding, internal stairway up to the very top of the lighthouse (you sit around the actual light in the glass enclosure). I can be a bit claustrophobic and it was still fine. You do not walk all the way down at the end; you take an elevator. I enjoyed the tour and the views are impressive.
