The walk is simple and short. The most complex thing is the crossing of the river and a part where there was a ravine only with logs to cross. It's an activity for the whole family. The place is very beautiful.

To spend a spectacular half day!
The bad thing is that from the route it is not marked... but you can tell by the number of parked cars.
The path to get there is approximately 1 to 2 km. Nothing difficult! I don't even recommend wearing sneakers because you have to cross places with water twice.
The water is COLD!!! But it is a beautiful place. What if there is nothing, bring water/food.
There are some small paths that are half “forbidden” to see them from above. We didn't do it but I know it can be done.

The place is very very beautiful, unfortunately the photos fail to reflect it, it is ideal to spend the day, I recommend, bringing shoes to change into, x at least flip flops, x you have to cross the river and get wet up to your ankle. The walk is a little less than an hour, easy, almost without slopes, a lot of small children and families with babies go. They don't sell anything once there but the place is ideal to stay all day, sunbathe and swim if you like ice water. It is more or less halfway between San Martín and Villa la Angostura (Google Maps locates it), there is also a sign coming from the latter. You stand and walk.

A fantastic place!!! The excursion to the waterfall is great. See the 7 Lakes too. Everything in San Martin in general is very nice.

On Saturday we arrived at the waterfall at 2:00 p.m., we parked the vehicle and entered the 40-minute walking path until we reached the waterfall.
Place where we shared some mates with my partner and we decided to return to continue our trip to San Martin de los Andes.
When we arrived at the parking lot, we found the vehicle struggling against the front passenger door, all of our belongings were stolen (bags with clothes, sneakers, cash, documentation).
Unfortunately, the police who were covering the scene at that time, being less than 100 meters from our vehicle, did not respond to anything. Completely ignoring what happened.
THE SITUATION IS REGRETTABLE AND THE POLICE ACTION IS REGRETTABLE

Saturated with people. A totally forgettable experience. Don't go in summer, it's not worth it. It's a crowd, walking on the path is worse than walking on a pedestrian street. People throw toilet paper on the side of the road. They do not respect the prohibition of going with dogs. They even put a bar at the beginning of the trail. There are some black people who wear vests and charge for parking! Anything.

The good, demarcated access, 100% nature, possible to spend the day on the banks of the river.
The bad thing, parking is minimal and you end up leaving cars on the side of the road, being an easily accessible destination there is a lack of information on what NOT to do in the forest (smoking, leaving the path, basic issues...)

You reach the waterfall after about 30 minutes walking at a good pace along an accessible and signposted path (it is not necessary to be in good physical condition). Almost at the beginning you have to cross a river of a few meters on foot. I recommend wearing appropriate footwear (e.g. sandals with a fit and good sole, such as Crocs, since the bottom of the river is rocky, and a towel to dry off after wading through it and putting your footwear back on to follow the trail). The place of the waterfall is very beautiful and the waterfall, when I went, had a large flow of water which made it more beautiful. It was worth it and I recommend it.

We got into the car in the parking lot. The walk is long and pretty but you are spied on when you arrive and despite the crowds, thieves are very comfortable visiting the cars and taking what they want.
The place is dreamed of because it is between two destinations and tourists have everything with them. No alternative or you take the walk altogether or this visit will cost you very expensive

La Cascada Ñivinco no esta tan promocionada en el circuito de los Siete Lagos pero es un lugar que sin dudas tienen que conocer!! Nosotros hicimos el camimo de los siete Lagos y pusimos como parada la cascada en el map y nos indico muy bien. La camina es de baja dificultad, les recomiendo llevar agua, calzado comodo, y si son materos, el equipo de mate con unas galletitas porque cuando llegan a la cascada el lugar invita a quedarse unos cuantos minutos!! Vayan!!

Hola! podrias hacerlo, sino camina mucho deberias cargarlo. Y como la cascada tiene distintos puntos para quedarse.... podes no ir hasta el final . Recordá llevar comida y zapatos a prueba de agua

Hola buenos días! Fui a finales de Enero... El sendero tenía señalización de cerrado pero un sitio para ingresar al costado mismo de la señalización. Todas las personas que llegan hasta ahí hacen igual el recorrido a la cascada y definitivamente no hay ningún roedor.

no porque queda camino a siete lagos sobre la ruta. entre san martin y la angostura, de todas formas ahora esta cerrada la entrada a las cascadas x el tema de las ratas. pusieron alambrado

Coincido con lo que dice Fernanda. Sí hay que llevar ojotas o zapatillas (y algo para cambiarse) porque hay que caminar sobre piedras . El agua es helada, pero cuando uno se aclimata se disfruta. Y la cascada vale la pena.

El tema no es tanto la ida como la vuelta. Asegúrate q te vayan a buscar. Y sugiero q lo hagas de mañana. A las 16 horas a más tardar tenes q estar de regreso. Es muy lindo. Suerte!

hola ! La hice hoy con mi familia. El menor de los chicos de 12. Vi gente q iba con niños y algunos bebes en arnes... pero el coche no estoy segura q sea buena idea xq hay q pasar pequeños bados y algunas escaleras empinadas . Salvo q sea uno de tipo “paraguitas q lo plegas rapido en esos lugares.
