Enjoyed our visit

Stopped in before we left Phoenix and happy we did. The bartender Michael was awesome, and fun to hangout with. My husband enjoyed his beers and the beer options were impressive. Glad we stopped in, we will definitely be back if we’re in the area again. Thanks!!

Nice selection of Beer

This is a nice microbrewery in Phoenix that also serves food. I tried the Bearded Blonde and the Tanline Brown both of which were very good! We ordered a jumbo pretzel and chicken strips and split them with my wife. The food was good bar food. You order at the bar and they will bring your order to the table. They offer free stickers if you are so inclined.

Good beer options, service not so much

There are some decent beer options to choose from, as well as menu items, but our experience with service was not pleasant. We felt as though the servers were condescending and dismissive of our question on beer styles, and just not very engaging compared to other breweries we had visited during the weekend. I’m not sure we’d return based on service, since there are plenty of othe craft brewery options in the PHX area.

Bad Service

I would say it was bad service but we didn’t get any service to begin with. We were seated for 15 minutes and nobody waited on us.

The best green chili pork

This restaurant has been here since 2004. They have been brewing beers since 2001 and then the new owner continue but added great food. The selection of beers is magnificent. The green chili pork is outstanding. They had a good crowd of people. This is Very casual. You can tell it was a bar and now You can just order to take out. It has a patio in the front.

Amazing food and drink!

What I love about this fabulous brewing company is their food. They serve freshly made food that will tempt any palate. Quaint surroundings make the whole experience very enjoyable! This is my go to spot when I am in the area.

Five IPA's on Tap!

If you love IPA's, then this is the place for you. Five on tap is unusual for a small brewing company. It feels like a neighborhood hang out and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant/bar is in a separate building from the brewery next door. Plenty of parking as a result. We had lunch here. We split the quesadilla and had the soup. It was plenty. It was raining the day we were there, so we weren't able to enjoy their outdoor patio area. We will definitely return here!

Good options for food restrictions

Was pleasantly surprised that a Brewing Company would have so many Gluten Free menu options. Went for an early dinner before heading to the airport. Service was a bit slow, but then it was early and they weren't fully staffed yet. Food was great! Very nice patio area with heaters too!

Disappointed

This is one of the first restaurants that I've tried that has gotten mostly good reviews on Trip Advisor that was a big disappointment. The only reason that I am giving them 3 stars is because the pretzel we ordered as an appetizer was delicious...but even at that it seems kind of outrageous to charge $7.50 for a pretzel. My wife's salad was ok, nothing to rave about. I ordered the Red Chili Pork and was really looking forward to a good New Mexican dish and was disappointed that the chef thought dousing the pork with massive amounts of cumin and cayenne was the answer. No richness, no flavor development.
Many other reviews note the lackluster service. I will join that chorus. Our server seemed detached and disinterested in what she was doing. We asked her to please light the candle on our table and she looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language.
Bottom line: we won't go back and I would advise others to avoid wasting your hard earned money on so-so food and service. There are lot's of good brew pubs in this city with more on the way. These folks better pick it up or they will be left in the dust.

good food, service not so much

Good food, good beer. Please is great for sandwiches, salads and craft beers. Just a good, comfortable, neighborhood place. And then there is the day bartender. SHe is the reason I will think about going elsewhere. Just picked up lunch, could not have been more disconnected. As she was talking about insurance and epipens with another customer for a good 90 seconds before even looking at any other customer. No greeting, no smile, stared silently at me, that was my signal to speak to order. That was the extent of our interaction. Until she wanted a tip. Go for the beer and food. that is where it shines.
