Purchased a cheese making class for my daughter for Christmas. She loves to bake but has never made cheese. Peter was wonderful and we had a great time! I’m confident we will now be able to make cheese at home. If we return to Prescott, we will definitely do another cooking class with Peter.

I purchased a Mozzarella and Ricotta Cheese making class for my wife as an anniversary gift. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the class. The class was interesting, informative and, most of all, fun! The location of the class at the beautiful and rustic Watson Lake Inn, was simply “icing on the cake.” Chef Peter was very personable (and patient) with me. He also pointed out many things about cheese making that you just wouldn’t find by reading a book. I never thought that making mozzarella and ricotta cheese could be so easy. Thanks Chef Peter! My wife and I look forward to taking future classes with Chef Peter and attended special events at the Watson Lake Inn.

Had such a great time with Hubby learning from an amazingly talented chef and teacher! Thank you, Peter! our cooking class on Sauteing was fabulous and we have even cooked the chicken dish since returning home! YUM!

If you’ve always wanted to bake bread, but were hesitant to try, Chef Peter's baking class is for you. Fear the yeast no longer! Chef Peter's class is well organized and well oriented to the novice baker. We managed to produce 3 lovely yeast bread products, including pizza, in under 4 hours and had tremendous fun doing it. Chef Peter also does an introduction to quick sourdough via a no-knead bread. The class ended around the dining table enjoying the results of our efforts. Time and money well spent.

Great fun for groups. The food is delicious and fun to prepare. Chef Peter is patient!! We had a blast.

Wow,what a great experience,Chef Peter is such a great teacher & has givien me so many new ideas, we do them in class & i have taken them home with great success. His knowledge of preparing so many dishes is amazing to me & not only am i learning new dishes i am learning new ideas of preparing with spices, etc. I have gone several times now & look forward to many new classes!

My husband and I live in Prescott, so we did not stay at the Watson Lake Inn, but we did take the Cheese Making 101 class with Chef Peter Gebauer this afternoon. We learned to make mozzarella and ricotta cheese. We were greeted by Chef Gebauer and his wife Aime. Both were so welcoming. It was a very informative class and now I can make my own cheese for a fraction of the cost I would pay at the store! I was most interested in the ricotta cheese as I have never tasted store bought ricotta that tasted good. The ricotta we made in class was UNBELIEVABLE! We then were able to sample the ricotta different ways: plain, infused with preserved lemons and one with (if I remember correctly) apricot. Chef Gebauer also allowed us to try some ricotta salata, which he had previously made. Yum! We were treated to our fresh mozzarella salad with a balsamic reduction, olive oil and fresh tomatoes and basil.

After our class and "tasting", we were given a tour of the property and got so see 2 vacant rooms. Peter and Aime are obviously very proud owners of the B&B. It is beautifully decorated. We would not hesitate to recommend the B&B to out of town guests!

Not only did we have a great hands-on learning experience from a master chef, we also enjoyed the fruits of our labors for lunch ! To have this gem in Prescott is truly extraordinary. We look forward to another cooking class soon.

We are locals so we did not stay at the inn (we had a tour of the property but all rooms were occupied so I can't comment on them). We took the mozzarella and ricotta cheese class. We did it as a "date" event. It was hands on, educational and lots of fun. We had one on one interaction with the chef. The cheese turned out great. And to my surprise we were treated to a glass of wine and light lunch with the cheese we made! This would be great for a small group or even business. I will be taking other classes.
