I have been a shopper at this store for YEARS (since they were on Mill Ave) and have always loved it. The customer service my 18 year old son received today bordered on harassment. My son had a question about a book (politely asked about it) and the store associate was judgmental and rude. For a store which preaches diversity and acceptance to all I am astounded how they treated him

This is a very unique bookstore. They offer author meetings, readings, and story times for children. It's wonderfully laid out and even sells unique gifts.

The selection of books here is fabulous! The owners have GREAT taste. Friendly and tons of used books at great prices. I could shop here for hours ....

Fun place to visit, browse and shop. I've bought books, magazines and gifts here. The staff is helpful. Good restaurants close by, too!!

The clerks have read most of the books on the shelves. They can give you great recommendations. They have used books that are a fraction of the cost of the new versions. They have audio books. They have good selection of intelligent toys for children. They have the best greeting cards, including 3D. They have local artists' wares as well as funny gifts. They have nice seating areas to sit and read. No one in Arizona has ever had as many authors come to visit, and read, and sign autographs. It is connected to a very nice cafe that sells terrific healthful foods.

My wife and I read a lot when we are on holiday so we stopped at this store in Tempe to check it out. Wow!
We were expecting a simple used book store, but this place was huge and it turned out to be a combination new and used store. It was bright and inviting and the staff extended friendly greetings as we came in.
The cataloguing was what you would expect in a new book store and the books were inter-mingled... new and used... so you could choose. The used ones that we often buy were in excellent condition. In a couple of instances, the only way I could tell them from an alongside new book was the price tag.
We are on a 1 month holiday and will definitely return to this store before we leave.

We visit this bookstore every time we are in the Phoenix area. We drive over from Maricopa. I could spend a long time here but my kids drag me out after 45 min or so. There is something for everyone. Worth the trip.

there is hardly a night that goes by, some artist book signing, some entertainment in song is avail at the Tempe landmark.
Great bookstore that has a wide variety of used and new in all subjects and topics.
Also has the coolest knick knack trinkets w great sayings for sale
