First of all, I have to say what a great experience it was and I'm so pleased I waited to do this and would certainly recommend you to do this if you get the opportunity, however, there are the downsides which I don't think people are aware of.
I have had to wait 6 years, yes 6 years for my flight. We have had constant canellations one after the other due to the weather and yes, we did get a bit dishearted by it all and even joked it was all a joke and the balloon never existed! On one occasion we travelled up to our location, saw the basket being taken off the vehicle and then we let a small balloon off up in to the air to watch the air currents and how the balloon travelled - the wind currents were too strong so the flight got cancelled even though the weather on the ground was okay. We were gutted. On another occasion, we got to the location and even filled the hot air balloon up with air and then suddenly the weather turned and the rain and wind swept up and the balloon was blowing all over the place, so it got cancelled again!
We booked our last flight in November this year, thinking its not going to go up, but the weather was perfect! Blue skies and very light winds and we actually got to have our flight at last!! Some people are lucky and only have a couple of cancellations, others not so lucky like me. But it will happen! I think people need to be pre-warned that flights can be cancelled once you arrive at the location. Our weather is so up and down and there aren't many opportunities where the weather is perfect.

Fabulous flight from kirky Lonsdale. Perfect weather conditions, stunning views. Ben and his team worked hard to ensure a wonderful flight. Ben's passion for flying was obvious and contributed to making this an unforgettable experience. This was my 9th attempt to fly. It can be frustrating when your flight is cancelled. Be patient! When you do fly it will only ever be in Perfect conditions, so you will only ever have a fabulous time.

Fantastic views, excellent service. We did wait a long while for a day with good conditions, but it was entirely worth it.

We had a superb flight and really enjoyed the day. Had to wait a long time through no fault of the crew, for weather conditions, so very pleased to fly today.

Ben Raven and the rest of the crew were amazing from the start, very knowledgeable and informative. The weather was absolutely perfect for it and the views were lovely (we took off from Devil's Bridge). Well worth the wait for the right conditions.

Our pilot Ben was excellent he took off and landed very cleanly no shock whatsoever. Smooth flying throughout beautiful scenery amazing journey. Very involved and enjoyable packing, unpacking and setting up the balloon with the pilot made it all the more meaningful of an opportunity.

Wonderful flight, Ben is an experienced pilot and the passengers all seemed to be at ease. I certainly felt very safe. Lift off was gentle, the landing uneventful. The flight itself was very special, a couple even got engaged mid flight! It was wonderful to see a birds eye view of a beautiful part of the countryside. We saw lakes and mountains, rivers and estuaries, landmarks and wildlife. Ben manovered his beautiful balloon with skill and ease, and gave great commentary. The ground crew were excellent, and clearly explained how to participate in packing away the kit. The team worked together with professionalism and humour. 10/10 recommend.

AMAZING BEST EXPERIENCE EVER
Ben was a fabulous pilot who was professional and made everyone feel at ease but also informed.
Brilliant experience from start to finish would 100% recommend and would do it again in a heart beat!
