Nice litte walk from Crickhowell centre, a mix of quiet roads, tracks, fields, bracken and short stony finish. Steady uphill most of the way but nothing too taxing. Finihed off with grat lunch at Halo in the courtyard. Recommended.

A great walk it was my first hike for years and I found it tough in places due to the fairly constant uphill climb. It was more than worth the effort amazing view from the top on a lovely day.
Watch out for the uneven path there's quite a few loose rocks in places and good balance walking on the rocky surface is required.
Note to self alway take insect repellent as there are alot of flying insects on the top this time of year.

We walked up to Table Mountain from Crickhowell. Wonderful views from the top where we sat to eat our lunch. Path steep in places. Well worth the effort.

Been on their mountain many times on the way down from pen alt Mayr. Nice views but take care as the path down is steep and rocky at the top.

There are several pathways leading up, down and across the mountain, in beautiful scenery. There are some parts of the walk that are quite steep and you need to watch your footing in places but the views are worth it!

Fabulous walk !
More challenging but a far more interesting ascend if you do the loop clockwise! Obviously it’s all up but you wander through Fields, woodlands, along streams, climbing over rocks through brooks and through the clouds !
The walk down was easy on the back end of the loop and was mainly grass and roads.
Very enjoyable.

Table mountain overlooks the town and is a tempting sight for any walker. There is only one parking place in the town conveniently by visitor information and parking meters claim 4 hr max, but keep pressing the duration button and you get more time!
There are two options, walk up from the car park or go through the town and start about half a mile away from the centre. I would advise the former as the other option is more of a scramble over rocks along a river bed and much easier to walk down, although lots came up that way when we walked.
It’s not a thought walk, but it is relentless uphill. We walked on a day when temperatures were large teens and plenty of sun, I would not enjoyed it in rain. As you ascend from the car park, you soon get views over the town and at the top there are views over the whole valley well worth the effort. It’s an easy route to follow, the markers have yellow tops so can be seen from a distance.
The top is a bit of a disappointment. It’s claimed to have been a building of some sort, but that’s a stretch of the imagination today.
We are in our early 70’s and found it enjoyable although a few rests on the ascent were needed! We had children in early teens and they had zero problem. Coming down you come to a farm with long horned cattle in the fired you walk through, bit intimidating but just looked at us and never came close.

Multiple routes up, and even if you end up a little lost you can get back on track by walking towards Table Mountain (just watch out for private property and livestock!).
We visited on a bit of an overcast day but could still see really far from the top.
It took us 2.5hrs all in from the Crickhowell Information Centre where we parked.

We walked up from Crickhowell, this iconic mountain sits right above the town.
This was supposed to be a fairly moderate climb but we found it sufficiently challenging for us hill walking novices with kids.
The route was not at all signposted from town but we asked someone who showed us the way. A good strenuous walk, 2-3 miles from the town centre up to 450 metres. We crossed a farm along the way (see photos).
Great views from the top and the location of an old hill fort, where the stones remain, albeit scattered now. Was not busy at all.
If you like a hill climb then I highly recommend this walk.

Thoroughly enjoyed this walk which we found online. Challenging at the start but worth it. It was a nearly 13 mile circular walk. Parked at the carpark near the Crickhowell visitor centre. Went to a nearby coffee shop and then we started. Along the main road then straight up table mountain. Wow the views. Then upwards to cover 3 pens which are relatively flat. Back down and then back up table mountain ending up back at Crickhowell and then to the pub. Perfect day! Quite a few people doing the same. You could even extend the walk to cover more pens and make it around 19 miles.
