We made the 4-day tour with Estrella agency. Our guides Herbert and José were fantastic. The beauty of the landscape is sublime, the tour well organized. We still have to do a lot of cars in small trails but it is worth it. You should not have high expectations for hotels and food. It’s pretty basic but the price is really low so we get a lot for our money

We toured Uyuni privately with South Star and everything was great. From the moment you ask for information to book, through Raul and his friendliness in the office of San Pedro de Atacama, to all the treatment received during the tour by our Sami driver and guide.
The trip is very well organized. We all liked the hotels in Uyuni and the picnics prepared by Sami especially in the middle of the salt flat, with those spectacular views, well worth that long 4x4 ride along the dirt roads.
From the reservation we were in contact with a person from the agency who immediately resolved any questions or concerns. We recommend traveling with Estrella del Sur and repeating the tour we did without any doubt.

Amazing trip! Bolivia is amazing! Wonderful landscapes!! Our Guide Sami made this experience even more special! Very dear, helpful and willing to explain everything to us!! Hotels also great

Very good experience! We were a group of friends on the 4-day tour and we really liked it, our guide Simeon was very attentive, explained everything very well and made great photos and videos. The scenery and tour highly recommended!! The salt flat is spectacular and the amazing lagoons, despite the cold are worth it

We had such a wonderful experience with Expediciones Estrella del Sur. The people we interacted with were always very responsive and helpful prior to booking the 3 day tour to Uyuni Salar.
We had an incredible time, our driver was driving very carefully, the landscapes were stunning all along and we had plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the surroundings. On the first day, you can expect a very basic accommodation with simple food but there was hot shower and tons of blankets to keep us warm. The second night in the salt hotel was more comfortable and overall they accommodated our food restrictions really well. We highly recommend this agency and Sami was the best driver!

Sami was our tour guide for this trip. It is a high altitude adventure and quite cold this time of year. He was super attentive to making our trip comfortable, even handing out hot water bottles for us to use in the early morning to keep warm. Mostly Spanish speaking, he was great at the Salt flats, teaching us the best way to get photographs that highlighted us with the immensity of that otherworldly place.

My friend and I are traveling together through Bolivia. We chose Estrella del Sur because of their quick and detailed responses on WhatsApp. As another reviewer mentioned, it may help if you know Spanish.
As with many Uyuni expedition companies, you may book with one but end up in another, as everyone there seems to swap to make sure their cars are full. They put us with Cordillera Traveler and we loved our experience with them.
Now back to Estrella del Sur. Our schedule didn't allow for a lot of down time. We arrived in Uyuni with no bus ticket to our next destination in Bolivia and not enough Spanish to change a flight on BoA the following week. Estrella del Sur was wonderful to us! They helped us call BoA and make the change happen. In addition, they went to the bus station and bought our tickets, and then went again to change them for our comfort. Very, very helpful.
Some things that might be helpful to know as a tourist. I was quoted the tour in US Dollars. I didn't have enough to fully pay in dollars. The exchange rate in Uyuni is 1 USD to 8 Bolivianos, which is not as good as the 1 USD to 6.9 Bos currently. Also, bus ticket prices are fluid and can go up and down depending on demand. We couldn't get the hang of thw online site Tickets Bolivia, but we later learned about the online site BusBud, which seemed much better. If you know your schedule, it's probably a good idea to book ahead, especially in high season.

We closed the private package with Estrella Del Sur and it was the best experience in Bolivia!
Everyone was very polite and helpful. They provided all the necessary assistance to make it an unforgettable trip. Delicious food, good hotel.. Sami is a wonderful, polite and helpful guide/driver.

We had a fantastic tour!! Comfortable accommodation, with hot shower and free internet in one of the hotels. Our guide (Yoani) was amazing and very attentive!! He took great photos, helped with acclimatization and made the tour really fun! I am very grateful to the company for planning everything with so much care!
