Well To be honest I would say no.That said I did see some children walking up there.There are some really tough spots up there,of which little legs might struggle.Also if you are thinking of taking the little one,make sure he has proper shoes.Hope this helps. Steve

Not sure whether the rangers will be there for you to sign in then, which is quite important for your own safety.

It is rough terrain, quite long stretches over small boulders, uphill over tree roots. Some parts are very steep. There are steps up some of the steep part. The last part is clambering over large rocks, which is where we gave up. It is a fairly strenuous walk, so it depends how young and fit you are!!

I don’t think U’ll be allowed to go up by the forest patrol!

Please check the weather and avoid at all costs if its rainy because the trek is slippery at many spots. hiking solo is not a problem at all, it is a very short trek. do not forget to carry a few energy bars and a bottle of water as there is no provision of both at anywhere throughout the trek and also no such provisions at the top. A guide is not required at all as you will find many travellers coming back while you go up, they will provide ample guidance and cheer. Any communication with the park authority over facebook or email is not required at all. it is a very short trek but a bit demanding physically.

Hi, the best option would be to take a ferry (from Phuket or Phi Phi) to Krabi dock and take a taxi from there - ferry is like 400 baht and taxi should be 500-700. If they offer higher prizes (what they probably would try, be tough and negotiate). Or if you can drive a motorbike, renting one is the smartest option. Another thing is, it would be better if you have a stay somewhere there because it might be tough to do it like a roundabout trip.

There is not a public transport from there. If you go by foot you have to walk a bit from there and after you get to the village you can catch a taxi. We were actually the same way. Friend dropped us there. We did the hike and then we went down to the beach, which is really beautiful. After, if you just walk the beach for 10 minutes you will get to the station point where are taxis. No worries ;)
