What made this stay so memorable was the cooking class for my wife, followed by dinner and great conversations with our host and other guests.
The room is quite comfortable and there was a nice veranda to sit and enjoy the afternoon. Pushkar is not huge and everything is in walking distance.

The hosts at this stay are awesome!! They are so friendly and want you to have a wonderful time in Pushkar. It's special to travel to different places, but it's extra special when you are taken care of by wonderful hosts like Shivani and her husband. I did not do her cooking class but it always smelled ssooo yummy. If you're going to Pushkar -- stay here!

The homestay is crispy spotless clean and has all required amenities in place. Shivaniji and Ashokji are amazing hosts. They took a very good care of all our needs. We did not have to ask for anything! It felt like staying with family. It was fun interacting with them. They made our visit to Pushkar so much better. Kind of people and homestays i always want to live with!

Shivani is one of the nicest persons we met in India! Super friendly, funny, makes it comfortable to ask questions. The cooking class we took as a couple was both delicious, fun and fulfilling. We very recommend taking it if you have the time. This was by far one of our best experiences we had here in Pushkar

We really wish we could have stayed longer with Shivani. The room was lovely, and the shower was hot, clean and spacious. In addition, the food she served was delicious, and our cooking class with her was thoroughly enjoyable. She made special arrangements for my dietary requirements, and also enabled us to buy some high-quality masala dabba spice dishes for an excellent price. The same ones we later found in the shops in Delhi were over twice the price.
What I particularly enjoyed about our stay with Shivani, wasn't just the accommodation and the cooking class, but also the fact that she choose to sit and talk with us afterwards, while we ate. The whole reason that I chose home stays as our accommodation was in the hope that we would get the chance to speak to local people, in order to learn more about their daily lives. Speaking to Shivani certainly enabled us to do that, and I would happily have stayed a day or two longer. Her husband is also passionate about preserving the local camel traditions, so although we didn't get the opportunity to spend any time with him, I'm sure that he'd also be a fascinating guy to chat to as well. There is even a clothing museum downstairs in the home stay too, which we enjoyed spending time in.

On most of my travels I like to do a Cookingclass to learn more about the local herbs and spices. In this class we were showed all the herbs & spices by name and how to use. Also the explanation of difference in the hot spices and the other? They won't mix those two different kinds... Important to know, right?
We started by making some Massala chai, always a good start! We got to make several dishes from curry to biryani and some nan and chapati. I loved the experience again. From every lesson I learn so much!

Unfortunately we didn't stay at the guesthouse since it was already complete (due to the pushkarcamel fair) but we enjoyed the the cooking class with Shivani very much. The food we cooked was very tasty. The dishes can be easily cooked with the ingredients we have in europe. Shivani helped us organizing a taxi to ajmer (because of the fullmoon some streets were closed so that taxi had to be organized in advance). Her husband, Ashok, was also very friendly and funny.
If I ever go back to Pushkar, i will def book a room in their guesthouse. Thank you Shivani an Ashok for that experience snd for your help.

Shivani & Ashok are the most hospitable, helpful and honest people we've met during our India trip. We were truly feeling like home there and enjoyed every minute:) the cooking classes were pretty fun- Shivani passed a lot of knowledge about Indian cuisine with couple of simple recipees. Really reccomend the place!

Amazing cooking class. Very good teacher, very patient and kind. One of the best meals I have had in India so far. Totally recommend!!
