Bel endroit mais l'accès aux piscines était fermé en février. Nous avons appris sur place que l'accès aux piscines n'est autorisé que l'été... Nous avons donc fait 1h de route pour juste les apercevoir de loin! car seuls les clients du restaurant peuvent les voir de plus près

C'est magnifique ! Pas de baignade possible à cause de la forte mer mais le coup d'oeil vaut le détour. Belles photos garanties. Vous pourrez aussi prendre une boisson au bar / restaurant juste à côté pour pas cher.

All advertising for Garachico talks about the natural pools - but not that they are only open June-September. (And the public swimming pool is also closed.) So you can look, but cannot even lie out on the rocks, let alone swim. Perhaps one should stop seeing Tenerife as a winter destination. Why not be upfront about this?

Lange weg naar Garachico om ‘mooiste dorp van Tenerife’ te zien. Mooi dorp maar ook weer niet bijzonder. Op Tenerife is helaas vrijwel alles van enig belang vercommercialiseerd. Waren er op maandag, ben benieuwd naar de drukte in het weekend! Ook natuurlijke lava zwembaden met daar tussenin hippie’s (moet je overheen stappen) die het als eigen domein zien en graag bekeken willen worden. Prima om heen te gaan maar ook prima om over te slaan en te kiezen voor een niet toeristische site. Die zijn er meer dan genoeg en 100 keer mooier.

Muy curioso

Es muy curioso ver las piscinas naturales que las coladas volcánicas han formado en el mar. Situadas al lado del castillo de San Miguel también se puede tomar algo al lado de las piscinas.
Gran variedad, las hay para todos gustos y de diferentes tamaños. En febrero había pocas personas bañándose pero muchas dando un paseo.
Además se puede completar con la visita a Garachico, en el centro están los lugares más importantes.

bella passeggiata sul lungomare di Garachito. Luogo senz'altro da vedere e fotografare. Noi in febbraio non abbiamo potuto valutare un bagno (peraltro le piscine erano chiuse per mare mosso) ma sicuramente in altre condizioni un bagno ci avrebbe tentato.

Wonderful (but in summer time!)

Unfortunately, an information of actual times is nowhere to be found. We came here to swim as good weather was predicted foolishly thinking the area is opened all year round. Well let me tell you it opens on 23rd of June and remains opened only for a couple of months. Many travelers (including ourselves) visited the place, however, swimming is not allowed. The place was packed in January so I am only guessing how busy it can be in summer time. Definitely a great place to swim with a few pools not affected by the waves. Plenty of crabs and fishes too!

Una curiosidad

Es el mayor atractiva de Garachico a tenor de la cantidad de gente que se pasea por allí.

La verdad es que son unas piscinas naturales creadas por las coladas de alguna antigua erupción, con material oscuro que contrasta con el agua cristalina del mar que golpea las paredes. La bandera roja impide el baño.
