As an intermediate climber with significant businesd travel, I love finding places which offer classes or training. Iron Works really delivered.
I set my one hour lesson up by calling a few days in advance, and met coach Jeffrey. We talked over my background, and when I arrived, he put me through a short assessment, then tailored our session to work a specific focus (we picked dynamic movement to gain reach while conserving energy). I left with several ah ha! insights plus practice approaches for later.
The gym has many cool routes, both lead and toprope, stalactite style as well as wall.. The bouldering section is along the back wall - a bit close to the toprope for my taste, but this is a traditional layout. It did not detract durin g my visit.
There is a nicely laid out gym, both free weights and machines. Cardio upstairs. Staff throughout were competent and courteous - the gym has a nice vibe.
Bring a lock for your locker, workout shoes as well as climbing shoes, and be prepared to seek creatively for parking if you arrive at a busy time.

Expensive but after a few visits it makes sense - the demand is very high, and they could easily charge more if they wanted I guess.
Routes are good quality, changed semi-regularly (though it'd be nice if they were changed with more frequency, especially in the lead cave). Staff is mostly friendly with maybe a few exceptions. Excellent classes in the studio upstairs, and good weight/exercise equipment. Saunas are a nice plus.
Good for kids if you come outside of peak hours. On weeknights between 5 and 8 it's maybe a bit too crowded for the kids to have a relaxed, casual time. Cool that they let members' kids under a certain age (11? 14?) come in free.
Wish the monthly membership were less than $70+, but again I get it that they provide a service many people want. Also wish they could install more (and better quality) bike parking! Super iffy on the music selection at times haha, but that's ok. All considered, great business doing right by their members and guests.

This is a fantastic climbing facility with great designs, frequently changing routes, great safety protocols and features as well as a great offering of other classes. My only complaint (but a fairly important one) was I bought a 10 visit pass for my wife and someone came in and climbed under her name and used half of her trips between our first and last visit. Obviously, some of that was due to shady customers, but also due to sloppy desk procedures. It definitely left a bad impression for both of us.

This climbing gym is another Touchstone gem!
It is easy to access off the interstate and in a safe neighborhood. The gym personal were very nice and helpful. The gym has many top routes and a handful of lead routes. The bouldering area, while not huge, offers several bouldering problems from V-0 to V-12. The holds on the walls were not greasy and the routes were interesting, challenging and fun! The back area with a spilt in the wall was fun for the kids.
We met several friendly members who were happy to chat and belay me. (I was with my kids) I loved this gym and will go back for sure next time I am in town!!
