We spent half a day sailing with Captain Dan and it was one of the highlights of our California vacation. He us friendly and knowledgable, and a skilled sailor. We learned about the history of the bay, and got to see it from a different perspective onboard his classy vintage sailboat. Highly recommended.

Captain Dan and first mate (Sali the dog) were awesome! My sister chartered the boat for her birthday with me and 4 of her besties. We got at the boat at 6:30pm on a Monday night. Had some tasty pre-launch beverages and then set sail. Sailed on the bay for a couple of hours. Never got too cold or rough. Dan made things very safe and very fun. A great time whether your new to or visiting the SF Bay Area or been here forever!

Was an absolutely fantastic time sailing with Captain Dan - so easy to be with, so knowledgeable, so beautiful sailing in the bay - good food & drink - and will 100% recommend him to all my friends. Do it soon - sailing in the bay is special.

Captain Dan and his four legged first mate Sali were awesome sailing buddies. Dan was super friendly and gave us the low down before we got on his 40' sailboat. Life vest were provided and even Sali had one!
The entire crew consisted of my husband and myself, his parents, Captain Dan and Sali. We took of from the Berkeley Marina and sailed towards San Francisco. We docked at pier 1 1/2 and decided to have dinner at Hardwater. We became fast friends with Dan and invited him to join us for dinner. We ended up leaving San Francisco around 7 pm and set out for a night time sail back to Berkeley. The winds were light so it was a longer trip back but so relaxing and calm. The views of San Francisco at night from a sailboat are just amazing.
Can't wait to go out sailing with Captain Dan and Sali again!

Our evening sailboat ride from the Berkeley Marina into the Bay was one of the highlights of our week's visit to Berkeley. Captain Dan was great to deal while we arranged the ride via email from several states away, and a wonderful host, who emphasized safety while also being a well-informed and really fun. We were a group of five, reflecting a wide range of ages, and all had a great time. Highly recommend.

Went sailing with Capt. Dan for the first time on 5/27/12 for the Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary fireworks celebration. Capt. Dan is a perfect host: makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome on his lovely classic wood sloop. He encourages learning, incorporates safety as a natural element to having a good time, and shares his infectious enthusiasm for sailing. Am looking forward to my next outing with him and the nice group of people he seems to attract as fellow passengers.

I have been on out on Capt Dan's Day and Sunset Party Sails in Berkeley, California several times -- and each time with a different group of friends who loved it as much as I did! Whether you live here, or are a visitor to the area, seeing the San Francisco Bay from the water is simply A MUST. I have lived in the Bay Area for 12 years now, and I can honestly think of NO BETTER WAY to spend and evening in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area than on a sail with Dan from Berkeley. A great way to celebrate any occasion with friends and loved ones. Just let Dan know and hewill work with you to make whatever occasion you want to celebrate a special treat -- even you simply want to celebrate the end of an average work day! Seriously, whether you are an experienced sailor or a first-timer -- in the Bay Area or in the Caribbean -- you are in the best of hands with Capt Dan.
