Duran Beach was a beautiful clean beach. We went early in the morning. The sand was covered with seagull tracks. Very few shells ,but we did find a couple of C dollars. Sandpipers were enjoying a feast. Pelicans flying around. Our visit was on a Thursday. We stayed for about an hour and then people begin to arrive, but we pretty much had the beach to ourselves before then.

Large,open beach with plenty of space. Dog friendly if on leash on the main beach. However, on the other side of the road (adjacent to the boat launch) is a small area of off leash beach that is best visited at low tide to offer the most running area. There's a $7.00 entrance fee, good all day. Several parking lots and rest rooms available. We were able to watch a seal lion rescue by the Marine Mammal Center, on the beach.

Beautiful beach. It was clear, chilly and windy when I was there. Great for a long walk. I needed more time, but enjoyed my short walk with great weather, an uncrowded beach and the ocean waves. Near to the bird reserve too.

The park was supposed to be a place for birding. Paid entry. No birds. Nice trail leading to beach. Nice park.

A stunningly beautiful location on the Pacific with a nearby nature trail along the tidal waters of Bodega Harbor. Not crowded, relaxing, with a refreshing breeze (but not for swimming with water temperatures in the low 50s). Good for the soul.

We did a quick stop here. It's a great beach, nice and calm. Small and suitable for all ages. You can either walk on the beach or just drop and have a look, it's a great beach!

This place can fill up on weekends, so best to get a spot early or plan to park somewhat near by and walk in. Nice and sandy with lots of shoreline.

This is a very wide beach with beautiful views of the ocean. There is a lot of space to walk around and we saw some people flying kites. It is also walkable from some of the nearby hotels.
The only issue is that it was very cold (although sunny) and windy when we visited and that can be a problem for some.

Long stretch of beach conducive to taking long walks. We really enjoyed spending a few hours here on a Sunday morning watching the surfers and taking in the serenity.

How early can we get in our spot? The website says 2pm but that seems really late. Has anyone shown up early?

I've been camping for 20 years and have always been showing up earlier. Only one time, in Limekiln campground, they didn't allow us to get earlier.
The site has to be vacated by 11. After that, they usually allow getting in.
Even if you get earlier, ask. The site might be available.

Any reviews of Miwok Tent Campground? We reserved site G. Is it far from the parking lot? Will day users walk through our campsite? Is ti protected from the wind? Is it family friendly or will we be surrounded by young adults who want to stay up past mid-night? We like to have fun, but also want to get some sleep.

Have you already gone? G site is a good one. Day users should not be walking through your site but you definitely will see them coming and going. Nothing protects you from the wind there once it starts blowing. Quiet time is 10pm but I can't predict who your neighbors will be......

They have two Rv areas with pull throughs don't know that there is a maximum length. But it is s California State Park, so the information should be available.
