I tried crossing it but stopped halfway due to strong wind and motion sickness. The scenery was beautiful.

Drupchen Thangtong Gyalpo (also known as ‘Chagzampa’, the man who built iron bridges) left behind him the legend of his architecture in building iron bridges and iron-framed wooden boats all over the places he visited. Bhutan was one of those places where he built eight iron bridges and also established the monastery of Dungtse in the central valley of Paro.

The sound of the flowing water below adds to the exhilarating atmosphere and serene beauty of the setting. While it is safe to cross, visitors should be advised that the bridge may be slick and should wear proper footwear. When you get at the temple, you can explore and take in the wonderful architecture as well as the intricate carvings and murals.

It’s refreshing, gateway from hustling and bustling city of Paro and Thimphu. Visit the sacred monastery above and have packed lunches by the Pa Chu flowing underneath the bridge. Serene air and clean surrounding.

The Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge is more popularly known as the "Iron Chain Bridge". This bridge crosses the Paro Chhu River to a small Dzong (fortress). It has been estimated that this bridge is over 600 years old, and that this is the first bridge to have ever been built in Bhutan.
Nice place to visit here at the Bridge and the surrounding canyon and river scenery is quite nice!

I'm a sucker for suspension bridges, and this one didn't disappoint. You have great views of the river from either side of the bridge, and it made for some excellent photo opps.

The bridge was closed but the walk feom the main road with the nice view wasvvery nice. Worth a stop on the main road.

It is quite interesting to walk across the river on this long steel cable suspension bridge for an experience. However, there is not much on both ends of the bridge. Just the thrills. It is not far from the Dzong, about 20 minutes walk to there and another 10 minutes walking across and back if you are fast.

On the highway back from Thimphu to Paro, we visited this Iconic Iron Suspension Bridge that hangs across the Pa Chuu/Paro river.
It was a thrill walking across the 'rickety' bridge, which was decorated with colourful prayer flags, while admiring the beautiful scenery of a shimmering river meandering through the mountains & the Tachogang Lhakhang (temple).
We had a tea & toilet break at a little cafe at the end of the bridge.

The old bridge is no longer accessible but there is a newer bridge right next to it. Nobody was on the bridge when we visited which made for great photos!
