ニセコの冬のアクティビティはスキーやスノーボードですが、夜にはアイスビレッジに立ち寄るのがおすすめです。自然の美が楽しめる雪と氷の造形で美しいライトアップなどを楽しむ事ができます。おすすめはアイスバーで北海道の厳冬期でしか味わえないイベントです。

We showed up at 6:30pm on a Wednesday evening and the Ice Village was closed. No indication on their web site that it would be closed or that they have any regular closing dates. It was about a 1500 Yen cab ride from our hotel and thankfully the taxi driver didn’t leave quickly or we would have been stranded there. Had him take us to Grand Hirafu instead for another 2300 yen. Expensive trip with nothing to see. What a disappointment.

hand built each year with top-notch planning and a good eye for style. Right next to a warm bar if you are getting a bit cold!

The Ice Village was disappointing. It is a some way out of the resorts, the shuttle is only every hour. The "village" itself is a series of small connected ice caves with coloured lighting. It is small complex so you can see it all in 5-10 minutes. The construction would have taken some effort and some of the effects are interesting - young children might enjoy it more. On the occasion of our visit there was one other group of 4. The Niseko tourism site talks about there being a food truck but there was no evidence of that. There is a restaurant which seemed to have only a couple with a toddler as customers. The prices at the 2 bars in the Ice Village were astronomical.
