Fantastic service from the moment we walked through the door. Dave and Sue were friendly and attentive and ensured they provided the most suitable equipment for our needs. On top of that, Sue's recommendations for the local area restaurants and sights to see ought to be recognised by the Japanese Tourism Board!

Our family of 4 have been renting from Harro's for the last 4 years.
The service is great and the equipment - top notch.
Rentals and returns were hassle-free.
Excellent price point and we would do it again next season !

Best service ever ... no hassle to transport equipment, ski boots were a dream very comfortable, skis were perfect. Retail items are of the finest quality, Harro & Sue give the best advice they certainly know their stuff.

We arrived at Harro's small shop unsure why we had been told to make the trek from Niseko village to Hirafu and then the walk (not too long tbh) up the hill but we were treated really nicely, the service was excellent, the ski touring equipment way better than I was expecting, and then Harro very kindly gave the 5 of us a lift back to our hotel. I then changed my skis after 2 days which was no problem at all and seeing as my old goggles had failed that day, I got excellent advice about the options available and bought a new pair (the most expensive of my life but that is Japan prices as they cost the same everywhere).
We skied away from Niseko on our last day and our guide returned all the equipment after we had left which worked out great for us. All in all, to be highly recommended. Oh and there is a lovely bar just up the road for a hot saké whilst waiting for skins to be cut to size!!!

Great decision to rent ski equipment from Harro’s which was made as it was located super close to our accommodation as well as being recommended by the front desk staff. Service was friendly & efficient, price was competitive with other Niseko ski rental companies, swapping equipment (eg to powder skiis) mid week was no issue & we were all happy with the quality of the equipment we hired.
Would definitely hire from Harro’s again.

We always rent our ski equipment from Harro’s. The fitting is professional and efficient. They really aim to ensure you have the best fitting. They also help with local information. We will be back.

Have been coming to Niseko for a number of years and always gravitate back to Harro’s for their great service and attention to detail.
These guys will kit you out with the perfect equipment for the snowy conditions we seem to get here almost all season!

When visiting Niseko, this is the place to hire your equipment from; get local knowledge of restaurants, onsens etc; purchase quality cold weather gear.
Other rental places you may feel like a factory production line; this place is friendly, professional, personalised, and in a relaxed environment. You don't feel hurried. They will endeavour to fix any problem you have.

Our second trip to Niseko, decided to try a different ski rental. Our party of five included two high maintenance teenagers. Individual service from a very experienced Aussie: attention to detail, problem solving, equipment niggles, sore feet/shins, changing from boards to skis and back to boards - no worries! Superb service and top class rental equipment. Received a fantastic rate for a 12 day hire.
Good range of quality accessories at a reasonable price. Our next trip to Niseko we will definitely be using them again.

I cannot speak highly enough of David Harrison and his team. We had all sorts of problems with people with difficult feet. 10s of ski boots were tried on and when they didn't give a good fit he'd take them home over night and do some custom work to make sure they were comfy. Unbelievable! I can't imagine a ski shop in the Alps doing the same thing.
I had new boots and they were bruising my toes so rented a pair for a couple of days. They were proper boots rather than the normal rental types and he didn't charge me for them. I couldn't believe it!
They have a great range of gear and if you go for the top end rentals then you can swap them in and out depending on conditions. It was the second week in Feb and I got a beautiful pair of Japanese all-mountain skis. They were fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed their skis and swapping them was no bother. Prices are reasonable and they are a really friendly bunch to boot. Definitely consider it if you are in Hirafu.
