We visited the Photography West Gallery in Carmel. The gallery has beauitulf photogrpahs of the California area. The photographs are taken by well-known photographers.

My husband and I have been traveling to Carmel-By-The-Sea for over 20 years and we have continued to go back to Photography West. It has remained our favorite gallery all of these years. Many of the most amazing black and white photographers represented. Highly recommend!

We purchased the first Photo over 25 years ago and love to see what Christopher Burkett is up to every time we are in town. Worth a stop he does amazing things with a camara

One of the select places that sell Christopher Burketts' photos. Google him and you will see how special his photos are if you don't recognize his name. We have purchased several of his photos over the years Other reviews give more info. As you see here, everyone has put up 5 stars. The photo with my name is one I took of NE Napa Valley last year.

Photos as they used to be made: with film and not on an iPhone! Printed in large formats, the works are magnificent. Some of the photographers were familiar household names. Others were names I went home with to research.

Been going to Carmel for years and dropping in each time I'm there. If you are into photography as fine art. THIS IS THE PLACE. The gallery staff is incredibly knowledgeable and are willing to answer any questions. They know that many who visits are "just looking" but everyone is treated professionally and politely.
This is not a gallery where you will be picking up a print for a $100 to hang on your wall (they do have a couple small poster prints in that range I believe). It is a gallery with an incredible stable of artists known world wide. But even if you don't have unlimited funds, it's a great place to visit and see photography as it has traditionally been done for decades (not on you iPhone)...and sorry attached pic taken with my iPhone at night.

They had an excellent selection of B& W photography by the Westons and other great photographers. Staff was very informative and knowledgable.
