Made a coffee stop at the Carmel Valley location. The store lacks the charm and attentive service of the cafe in downtown Carmel. The employees seemed apathetic and didn't make an effort to go the extra mile to provide good service. Bathrooms are around the back of the building which felt too secluded. The food was fine, and the coffee was excellent. There is plenty of seating, with lots of natural light. With a little more attention, this could be a nice place to have a coffee.

I highly recommend the ginger bread house latte.
I've tried 4 different Carmel Coffee shops and this one was the best.
Strong beans, bold flavor and that "thick" coffee sensation.
Not a lot of seating and first come first serve. A few campers with their drained cups still on their laptops take up what I can only assume was meant to be temporary seating.
It would,be great if they added a small shop staircase to the loft above and designated some of that area for a couple of small bistro tables looking down into the throng of people waiting for their morning Java.

Good setting for people watching from the windows right on the main drag!!Such a peaceful wee place!!Pricey but good lovely selection of cakes and pastries and the coffee was very distinctive and flavoursome!Pleasant staff hard to get a seat but worth it

Every time we travel to Carmel, we buy Carmel Foglifter beans. Often, though, if we try to buy beans at the Carmel Valley location, we are told they are out of beans. Confusing, to say the least. However, we have never had issues downtown. Worth the stop for amazing coffee.

Go down a little alleyway. That's what you do in Carmel and you'll find this little coffee shop with lovely outside seating. The coffee is excellent and tastes freshly ground. Gluten free options are very limited and we were informed that our golden was not to accompany us inside on a future visit. So a mixed bag, really.

I went to the shop they have in Pacific Grove, (which I couldn't locate on Trip Advisor) and they were awesome! The staff was extremely fast and friendly. Coffee was the best out of 3 places I went to in Pacific Grove. I will definitely be back!

After asking a local for suggestions of a coffee place, we happened on the Carmel Valley Coffee Co. They were busy, but the wait time was not bad at all! They are very efficient and handled the rush with ease. Great coffee selections and pastries offered
