Flint Center has been closed and is scheduled to be torn down and replaced with a variety of replacement facilities, possibly including a new performing arts center. The existing structure had numerous seismic issues that would have cost too much to fix.

This place needs vastly improved signage. It's located on the De Anza college campus and both times I've been, I got lost not only finding the parking garage, which has lots of space, but costs $10 per vehicle, but then finding the actual venue. I like to arrive early and had to wander about until I found someone who lead me to the doors.
One final note: De Anza and/or the Flint Center need to write a grant proposal and get funding to improve the entire sound system. I saw comedians on both of my visits and the first time, the microphones FAILED and this time, the microphones overamplified the performers. I cannot imagine going here to listen to music after these experiences.

Flint Center is probably the most unique performance center in the South Bay.The place has hosted premier, presidents , prime minsters, Steve Jobs, and major business meetings. Most of all it is a gem for this community in hositng dance, acrobatics, and especially concert music. The San Franciscon Symphony used to have Flint included in its season performances. The same with the defumct San Jose Symphony. Your can hear the sound beautifully in the back upper balcony row as well in the orchestra rows. Speical baffles can be adjusted to help with the sound. The California Pops played yesterday with wonderful sounds. The aircondiitoning worked wonderfully on a hot Sunday. I know performers personally love playing here.

We were fortunate to spend a hot afternoon in the cavern of the Flint. The California Pops! Orchestra is newly home in this facility. We throughly enjoyed the program, which is all requests, and many included Gershwin, movie themes and a personal favorite, "The Typewriter". A trip down memory lane. The Armed Forces Salute had many veterans standing. A large portion of the audience used wheelchairs and walkers.
Another visit is in order.

Convenient location for many Bay Area residents. It's a great concert hall but not always has the best sound system ,it depends on organizers sound engineers . Parking could be a challenge not for the lack of space but just to get in and don't forget to have cash $5 . Be ready for bag check ,no extra items including water and food :)
There is an outdoor bar ,drinks are OK and not much to recommend .
Don't get to hang out on getting front row seats ,all seats are good ,middle seats are the best .Overall always organize and safe environment !

this is on side of de anza jr. collage . a fine place with great free parking eating fast food paces on other side of street as well great place eating in Cupertino san jose is pain parking why go there at all when we have 1st class place hear .

Having been a season ticket holder for years we have seen many speaker series, symphony and many other venues I recommend this center to all. They have ample parking and easily accessible for the handicapped.

It is a nice auditorium with good sound effects.. Went for a concert and enjoyed the event.They had ample parking in the parking structure next to it.

We live very close to the Flint Center so we are a bit biased, but it's a great place to have so nearby! Don't deal with the hassles of going in to the city, catch your speech or concert or other event here. The parking can be frustrating as the garage is closed now and they seem to block off major areas during events. The result is that a single file line creeps in (passing wide open spaces as they do so...) and no one seems to know quite what is going on. When the garage is open it's better but it can take a long time to get out. So come early and avoid the frustration. The auditorium itself is very nice, comfortable, reasonable number of restrooms (though yes, there tends to be a line at the Women's ...). We have seen musical performances, lectures, Seinfeld comedy act and other events here, always enjoyable.

I've been attended events at Flint Center for nearly 40 years. While attended De Anza College in the mid 70's I have several classes in the building. Seating is excellent, holds about 2800 for events like the Celebrity Forum. The Celebrity Forum is my favorite, great speakers. The only complaint that I also have is the parking. Since I no longer attend any classes parking and fees can be a challenge in the garage.
