Great modern pool. Indoor and outdoor. Very clean, Only $6. Not crowded either. Clean showers. More.

My daughter and I checked this place out and was a little worried with all the homeless, but once we seen the water park area was gated we were ok with going and spending the day. We went like 3 days in a row. the state really needs to do something about all the homeless hanging around. It has plenty parking and it $5 for kids $6 for adults. It has 2 slides that you have to be a certain height. A indoor pool and a small kiddie lazy river. It has a couple areas for small kids outside as well. They have lifeguards everywhere and to swim in the deep end you have to pass a swimming test. So I’m reviewing water park only because it’s gated in and you have to pay to enter.

Local park for the local people, it does have a problem with the homeless and they keep the bathrooms locked at all times so you will have to go to one of the local store's or gas station

Tke park looks very inviting. Beautiful big trees, green lawns, updated aquatic center, and a big skate park. What you don't notice at first quickly becomes apparent. The Large homeless population in the area can be intimidating. The real issue is the drug use and other criminal activity. Not to mention the 3 murders (2 of which were in the middle of the day) in the last few years

Picked up some lunch near by and decided to go to Alan Whitt Park and sit under the huge shade trees. It's an older park and I used to play softball there. The homeless crowd had really taken over the day I was there. Some very sketchy persons lurking about. Enough to make me uncomfortable and went elsewhere to eat lunch. Too bad because it is a nice park with an aquatic center and softball fields. But the fact that they did find a murder victim (young girl) at the park last year does not bode well for the overall safety of this park.

Sorry to say I don't go here anymore. The homelessness element can be scary. Sorry this city does not offer a better location for the less fortunate so families feel safe. Great skate park, water park and fields. City spent a lot of money on a place families are afraid to go. Better to put tax payer funds in smaller neighborhood parks. Scary place.

So this park has changed a lot since I was young. Well maybe not a lot because there were some shady things happening back then too. But, I would say if your not familiar with the park, be out of it before dark. However, the day is not too bad; there are some homeless but most are nice also there is some black market shopping and selling but it's not really in your face. It's sort of at a distance. The good thing about he park is it's pretty big. That affords the opportunity for many different activities which include: softball/baseball diamonds, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, children's playground, basketball courts (my favorite), tennis courts, picnic areas(advance reserve), nice gym, pool($), and even a small amphitheater. So plan a half day and go have some fun. Get some fresh air and enjoy life's diversity.
*Note: All activities require you to bring own equipment. But most of the daytime on the weekend you can get a pick up hoop game.

I didn't like the homeless around. The pool was really nice, but there as graffiti everywhere. I hated it

we took the kids for some tennis. There were people smoking weed at the basketball court. I was just so tempted to call the police to have them arrested!! Not a pleasant experience.

This is a dangerous park. I no longer feel safe going here with my family. Little league practices there, and fences are being built to keep out the bullets. Indoor soccer and basketball facility is nice, but the parking lot is scary.
