On golf course did'nt have to wait/ no one waited for us. Long wait for the race cars, arcade closed

Have been here before and finally am getting around to a review. We came here for a birthday celebration, with adults and young children (1 and 4 years of age), and a Grandparent as well! A wide range of interests, and energy levels! We got there about an hour after opening on a Saturday and it was rather empty still. Good for us, as I could look around, take some cool pics, and we could collectively plan our attack for the day. Scandia has lots to offer, including arcades, laser tag arena, go-carts, 2 miniature golf courses, batting cages, water boats (with water cannons!), and much more. We decided on day passes, good for 4 hours and only $37 - good for unlimited attractions, except ticket items like arcade games. This was best, as with no crowd we could hit a lot in a little time. In no particular order, we started with arcade games to warm up. You buy a card at a machine, where you can also check the balance and add value. Any tickets you win are electronically added to the card for future redemption, as well. There are two game rooms, one just oiff the parking lot and in the same area as the snack bar, service counter and restrooms. There is a larger and more colorful room on other side of dining area, on the way to the private (reserved) birthday rooms. This has much larger games and a nice feel to it - and very colorful! We then moved on to miniature golf. You pick up the clubs and balls at an outdoor station, and from there you pick one of two courses. The courses are 18 holes, and today it was a challenge due to the 10 person group just ahead of us - even though a sign limits groups to 4 - oh well. It was still fun, and the course we did was with the large windmill. It has nice decorations, most in good shape, except some of the water features; some were running (nice on a hot day), but some of the ponds were rather "mungy" to use an old camp term. Stagnant water in heat doesn't do well, and they should increase the water flow. But the course was fun, challenging and a good chunk of time, so plan ahead. We took a snack break, and had some soda (pitcher rather than individual cups), cheese and pepperoni pizza slices, and fries. The pizza was good, and the large fresh made pizzas around us were delicious looking - some jealousy, of course, but we were saving ourselves for a big birthday dinner. The fries were surprisingly good, nice and crispy - better than many national chain's fries for sure. Next we hit the lil' Indy raceway go-carts, which again, with a small line, allowed several rounds in less than 45 minutes. The adults drove, and had more fun than the kid passengers I think! We then headed over to the water bugs bumper boats to test our boating and water cannon skills. Nice for a warm day. Finally, we spent time in the batting cages, which offer both hardball and softball options, and slow or fast pitch. The only issue was that the ball return was not returning balls fast enough, and we had to get staff help to refill at times, including the stations adjacent to us. But the cages are great fun, and you should give them a try. Other attractions we didn't avail ourselves of are a large multi-level play structure (clubhouse for kids), the laser tag, and the private birthday party rooms. But there's always next time! The staff were universally friendly and helpful, from the ticket counter to the snack staff to the guys on the boats and the go-cart courses. This place can get REALLY busy, and that can detract from the experience, but it is not anything Scandia can control, so just bring a big bag of patience! I used up all of mine on the golf course, but luckily the rest of the day went well. Give this place a try, and make sure the adults come to play as well!

My Grandson and I went to Scandia after we planned to go to Six Flags and it was too crowded with no shuttle from the fairground parking. My daughter suggested Scandia and as I hadn't been there for a number of years I thought it would be fun for the two of us. It was! My Grandson had his first miniature golf experience and he was free as he was under 6. I got a senior rate so it was only $7 for both of us. I won a free game with a hole in one at the eighteen hole! After that he wanted fries so I got chicken strips and fries at $7.50, that was half the price I would have paid at Six Flags and it was good and hot. Then we went on for him to play in the playroom, $6 per child for all day up to 8p.m. You have to take off your shoes; I can't because of my inserts so they gave me shoe covers at no charge. No charge for the adult to accompany a child in the playarea. We got there around 11:30 and left around 4:00 We were both tired and agreed we had a great time and will return for some of the other activities available there in the future.

My family and I went to have a little fun close to our hotel and this place was very nice. We played golf, rode go-carts and the water carts. It’s was fun for us all. Great place and very clean.

DON’T GO TO BATTING CAGES ON A DAY WITH ANY RAIN! Called ahead to check to see if the batting cages would be open on a day with scattered showers. They ensured me that my little league team could do slow pitch only as long as it wasn’t currently raining, due to the wet balls not flying straight on fast pitch. Ok!
I get there 45 minutes before the rest of the kids get there to check again about using the cages because they were locked and nobody was attending them. They told me to wait 15 more minutes to ensure the rain has sufficiently passes. Ok. I check back 15 minutes later and they tell me “like 10 more minutes”. Ok. Again, I check back 10 minutes later and guess what?! The manager tells me that he never told his employees that the cages would open and the balls don’t come out of the machine when it’s wet!!! So ALL these families came from out of town to do this after being ensured that there wasn’t a problem had to drive home. Way to communicate Scandia! Poor management is exactly how you get 15 families to never come in 1 day.

Been going here with the kids for years. Very nice miniature golf for the whole family and a number of entertaining rides for the little ones and for teens. An arcade inside for those rotten weather days with a snack bar and ticket token rewards for arcade wins

The mini golf is outdoors. 20 holes.
They have cute little set up. Some shaped like a windmill or castle. There are 2 courses hard and medium.
They have an arcade, go kart, water bumper cars.
There is a little place to eat the food is reasonable.
In the arcade all the games were in working order. They were new nothing outdated.
The arcade is not big and not many games for kids age 5/6 none for toddlers.
They use a card system no tickets. You turn the “tickets” in for prizes.
The restrooms were clean
All staff was friendly and courteous.
Staff was patient w my little one who wanted all the prizes but only had 65 tickets.

I won't bother to go there! Some people told me they're in Vacaville, others said Fairfield, so I wanted to call to find out if it's one and the same since the cities are in close proximity to each other. But the damned phone just rings and rings. Too many other places to go. Just glad I didn't tell my nephews that's where we're going.
