Great beach. Lots of room to get away from everyone. The tide is a little strong so swimming is questionable. We went in July and it was very breezy and chilly. Maybe a beach for frisbee or throwing the football.

Beautiful, clean, white sand. Water was perfect with a few waves. Umbrellas and chairs to rent at a decent price. It was a perfect day on the beach.

Went right after a winter storm and found lots of abalone shell pieces and a couple of almost complete shells. It was a sunny winter day but a bit blustery

Well worth driving to, this is such a beautiful beach. We visited on a very windy day and apart from a couple of dog walkers it was deserted. The tide was out, exposing a vast expanse of sand, punctuated with huge rocks dramatically rising in isolation. There is some parking but limited. I guess you need to be early on a summer weekend!
No other facilities, so its won't suit everyone. Just as well if you enjoy uncrowded nature :-)

Got to beach about 8 am beautiful out. strolled down beach enjoying the surf and sand. only a few people there. stayed for about 2 hrs.

This is a not-too-busy beach because it is a bit north of town. Well worth the drive. The rocks on the beach are fantastic and even the views of a couple of homes on the bluff above are cool.

This was a great stop near the 10 mile bridge -- parking area on beach-side had plenty of room and this was a huge beach area. Definitely had a lot of space to yourself, even though there were others out and about. My husband and I sat on a driftwood log and watched the sunset -- truly lovely!

This is the best beach by far near Fort Bragg and Mendocino.. easy to get to.. Whale Rock, the hidden beach (great for weddings) and a perfect place for finding sand dollars. We (13 of us) stayed at a Shell Seeker - a great vacation rental overlooking this beach for Thanksgiving. Wonderful sunsets and campfires on the beach!
