Beer Break!

I love the additions of Auburn Ale House brews to the standard coors/bud selection! Great way to support other local businesses. Bring a dollar bill to write your name & the date on to nail it to the wall. Then come back and find it next trip.

Fun place

Unique, out of the way, must see destination. Lots of history of your a gold rush fan. Amazing interior. Relaxing and full of flavor. Nice people.

Uncle Tom’s Cabin is a most unusual spot in the world. In the middle of nowhere, but loaded with people and memories, stories of over a hundred years! Autographed $1 bills stapled to the ceiling and walls makes for valuable wallpaper!!!

Funky Fun and worth the trip!

We love this place. It was interesting and I was happy to see it had survived the fire! This place must been seen if you are looking for an out of the way road trip.

Cool spot with a fascinating history. Pop in for a beer or three.

I'm a fan of bars. Been to a ton of them. This is one of my favorites.
We stopped in after a little bit of wheeling on the Rubicon and we're amazed to find such a gem hidden in the middle of nowhere. This place has been open - continuously - for over 150 years. Great to see the pictures and hear the stories and of how this place has been a warm refuge from big storms often in it's history. Definitely worth checking out!

last lawless land in the land

Before they paved the road, the "Clampers" held 4th of July celebration/parties, firing firearms at will til the county cops came. Saw them send the cops runnin'. Those days are gone now and the law rules but in my lifetime i experienced the old wild west there.

Great little place to go have a beer I have never eating there but I have herd that they do put on some great party's . Its way up in the mountains beautiful setting.

My favorite watering hole in the middle of no where

If you are heading up country from Georgetown this place is worth a stop. You can only get beer and snacks, but enjoy them on the porch, or rent a cabin and enjoy a weekend. Friendly people and all kinds of history here.

150 Years of Authentic Fun

Spent Labor Day weekend celebrating 150th anniversary of Uncle Tom's in the El Dorado National Forest. Weeks later the King Fire burned around the area, which just goes to show it will be there for another 150 years! They don't serve food, but the social atmospheres especially around the outdoor fire pit at night, makes up for it. There's a campground and if you are quick to book you can book a rustic cabin. When you enter the bar you can see photos of the last 150 years, including the year only the chimney of the cabin shows above the snow line. Great place to stop if you are motorcycling from 50 Icehouse exit, or from Georgetown.

Cool, rustic place for a beer or soda.

This is a cool, rustic shed/cabin covered in dollar bills and a great place for a beer or soda, no food so BYOB (bring your own beans). Pit toilets (double seater :-) and a nice, big fire pit, deck, nice meadow view and super nice people.
