We had a tasting in February that was fine but I cannot say it was really worth the price. We visited in late 2020 before it shut down for a remodel and enjoyed our visit much more. Wine is good but not exceptional. Seems to be much more an effort to see how high a price the market will bear. I would suggest less emphasis on increasing the price point.

With COVID the Tasting Room is by reservations only. But I had a last minute trip to Windsor, so I call the Winery to see if I could get a reservation for just myself. Unfortunately they were booked. So, I asked if I brought a picnic and sat on the lawn under the old Oak Tree would that be possible? Which they agreed. It was a lovely afternoon munching and sipping a wonderful variety of wines...under the old Oak Tree. Thank you Michel-Schlumberger for a delightful afternoon.

Staff were friendly and warm. A bit sarcastic in the best way. The gift shop is adorable and we enjoyed the many selections of sparkling and still wines with a beautiful view of the grounds.

Great wines deserve a great setting for tastings and at Michel-Schlumberger, that is indeed the case! The estate and grounds are wonderful, beautifully maintained and reflect the colonial legacy of the area. The wines- their focus is primarily on reds, well balanced, not so heavy bodies as some of the over-the-top Californian wines. Whites are excellent, a few varietals and a superb sparkling rose. There is certainly a perfect selection available to find some new favorites on each visit!

We live in Sonoma County and have tasted at dozens of local wineries. Our experience at Michel-Schlumberger was so exceptional we left as wine club members and are already planning our next visit. The property is beautiful, featuring Spanish mission style architecture and a lovely courtyard where we enjoyed comfortable seating, propane heaters, and serene surroundings. We enjoyed the wine, too, and our tasting included several unique varietals and some fun extra pours. The best part of the whole afternoon, however, was the customer service we received. Ivy and Billy are warm, welcoming, and full of delightful conversation and colorful humor. We had a blast and can’t wait to come back with friends. Their wine club also offers some unique perks and options we haven’t found elsewhere. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

I learned of this winery thru the old visa signature benefits and was won over years ago. The quality of the wines is superb, the grounds beautiful, and the staff so accommodating!
What more could one ask for, as long as you have a reservation!

You really should go! We spent a beautiful couple of hours with fantastic hosts and tasted some of the best wines in Dry Creek. The setting is gorgeous, the conversation was amazing, the hospitality was tremendous and I can't recommend it enough.
