I played this course for 10 years until 2015. I took a break from golf and when a friend from UK said he was visiting and wanted to play a round. I thought Diamond Valley would be ideal. I booked my round online as usual and when I arrived at the course the car park was empty. 1 golf cart was out (used to be 20 to 30) 1 person manned check in and canteen. The course was brown and the lakes stagnant and half full. There was no water on the course. The golf cart was intermittent in operation as if battery was about to fail. It needs a lot of money and work to bring it to an acceptable standard. Very disappointed

Diamond Valley has a very interesting layout but a broken irrigation pump this summer really browned the fairways. The staff worked hard keeping the tee boxes and greens in good shape with hose irrigation.
It looks like the irrigation issues have been resolved because the fairways are green again making the golf experience much more enjoyable.

Our golfing group had been wanting to try out this course for a while now and planned to go out there this weekend and since I had nothing to do on Christmas day until nite decided to sneak there to play a few holes to familiarize myself first. Booked a 12:22 tee time off GolfNow for a single at $19.99 plus booking fees of $2.49. Since I'm in Ontario and needed to get back for Christmas dinner didn't intend to finish but to just get in as many holes as possible. Morning of my tee time had stuff come up at house and with wife complaining really didn't feel like driving all that way to get in a partial round but since booked and GolfNow already took my $2.49 decided to go anyway. Lotta traffic going down south on the 215 also and I finally got there at 12:50. Since this being Christmas I took that for the reason as why the course was basically empty (tho now I read on reviews it's because of horrible service and bad course condition.
Running late and having to leave at around 3:30 - 4 I rush in proshop and see this 80 year old man with no teeth tending the proshop. After telling him my name and teetime he starts berating me for being late. I ask him what's the big deal as course is basically empty and deserted he seems to get more pissed off. He then tells me because I'm late and guy I was supposed to share cart with at 12:22 teetime had already teed off, I'd have to pay an additional $10 to get a cart. After explaining to him that I'm now only going to be able to play 10-12 holes, he still won't budge on wanting to charge an extra $10 which would put me at $19.99 teetime + $2.49 GolfNow fees and his additional $10 for a total of $32.48. Seeing as how the rack rate at 1 pm is only $25 I asked him how that even makes sense. His only reply was "You're late and guy you were supposed to ride with teed off already".
After going back and forth with him for a few minutes and explaining that it's cheaper for me to just buy a new teetime he seems to not understand and keeps telling me simply it's $10 more. Now understand that this being Christmas, dealing with this unaccommodating senile old man is really more than I can deal with. I tell him I'd rather not play then pay an extra $10 and he starts ignoring me. I then on my way out proshop proceed to ask him why stop at $10 and why not make it $100. Anyway, now starting to understand why all the low ratings and bad review. Here's one more to add to the list and believe me, me and my golfing group WILL NOT BE EVER COMING HERE!!!

Very nice semi-private course. Doesn't have the amenities that a lot of courses have, and the price is right: $30 challenging, tough greens, lots of variety.

Diamond Valley Golf Club has an excellent value with an excellent variety of holes. The short par 4's are particularly good with nice risk reward options. Greens were in great shape for mid-March. Played the blue tees at around 6500 yards and had a great time. This is also one of the friendliest golf course in California. From the starter and GM, who gave us very warm welcomes at the front desk, to the fellow golfers on the course where were curtesy in every way. This course is off the beaten path, but I would not hesitate to play again.

Everything about this course was good. The club house was small,but service was very friendly , had a small resturant with inside and outside seating. Golf course was well kept and would play well for all levels of golfers. It was not busy when we played,but we heard it can get very busy ,which means slow. I could golf here on a regular basis in the winter. Would rate as very good if it didn't suffer from dry fairways like most California courses.

I used to take my grandson when he was little. he is 10 now. But he liked it a lot. Since then , they have added a lot more things to explore. On Halloween, I took 4 of my grandkids for safe trick or treating. It is called Trunk or treating because companies from around town decorate their vehicles, park them in their gated parking lots at the museum and fill the trunks with candy and trinkets for all the kids. There is a small fee to enter, but they also feed you. (Hot dogs, chips and a beverage) So for what you are getting for the $2.00, it is well worth it and is much safer than running the streets. I feel it is also safer because you know where the candy came from. The only thing I feel is pretty expensive is their camp. I've never done the camp for my grandkids so I can't say whether it is worth it or not. It is not a sleep over camp. Basically something to keep the kids busy during non school season.

Course was in pretty good shape. Pace of play was ok (4.5hrs)

We have played this course a number of times. We like the course very much. The last time we played the course condition was fair to good. Only problem we had was slow play.
