Enjoyed walking around the community gardens, nursery and surroundings. Such a good place to encourage the love of nature and farming. Wonderful to see children, families and people of all ages engaged and enjoying this place together. We enjoyed having a meal at the cafe onsite as well.

Went here today and found a little oasis in the middle of suburbia. A couple of cafes to sit and eat and have a coffee if you wish. If you have young children there is a fantastic playground with a giant octopus made of old car tyres and a giant caterpillar made of old crane parts. Amazing!!!

I discovered CERES while randomly wandering around Brunswick. It is a community park with space for workshops, cafe and activities. Absolutely loved the ideas.

We popped into this popular community park for something to eat and to look around the garden centre.
The menu was fairly limited but seemed to cater for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. There was also a small selection of alcoholic and soft drinks plus various tea and coffee combinations.
We then headed to the small shop which was selling fruit, vegetables and a lot of things that needed you to provide containers. There was a lovely selection of chocolates and honey, and the prices were pretty reasonable.
The garden centre has a lot of local plants and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

I took my sons 9 and 11 here today, we walked and had a good look around the farm. Then we had lunch at cafe. Both boys enjoyed their meals, they had a kid's menu lunch. I had the special Thukpa soup, it was also great. It was an interesting place to visit right in the heart of a very urban environment.

When I am at Ceres having a coffee outside,green all around, people chatting , sunshine or rain, I understand that this is how it should be and am saddened that so many of our neighbors and friends and family have adjusted to the shopping mall etc as a desirable place to meet and have coffee.

You can browse to your heart's delight here. This place is genuinely full of large varieties of plants, seed, seedlings, and literature. You can wander around or have a chat, a coffee or a bite to eat. Its very family friendly with all the facilities. All in all a great place to spend the day and gain valuable knowledge.

The cafe, the food shop, the store and the nursery will provide all that you want from such places. But there's more to this place. Take a walk at different times on different days to see what else makes up the character to this extremely rare but functional urban 'park'. The bicycle repair area with friendly personal help is one of my favourite spots. I also like to watch the chooks do their thing early in the morning. And there's a bonus - the Merri Creek trail is beside.
