Our tour guide, Reema, was awaiting us at the front of our motel in Anaheim at 10:00 A.M. as planned. I knew we were in for a great tour when her first question was "What would you like to see in Los Angeles?"
My partner requested a stop at UCLA because his grandson will be entering that university next month. He also requested a visit to Venice because when he was the Art Director for Seafirst Bank in Seattle in the 1970's he met and purchased art for his bank from the popular artist, Sam Francis, who lived there at the time.
My request was Grauman's Chinese Theater, a famous tourist attraction where stars left their handprints, and some footprints, for all to see.......and also any other popular destinations that Reema had in mind and there were lots: the L.A. Farmer's Market where we purchased some fruit, Rodeo Drive that appears in many movies such as 'Pretty Lady" with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, The Beverly Hills Hotel and many more.
My partner's favorite stop during the tour was UCLA and mine was the canals in Venice. I had visited Venice a number of times while going to school in L.A. but I knew nothing about the canals until Reema introduced me to them. I found them most interesting and took lots of photos.
Reema was an experienced driver, especially during our trip back to Anaheim in the midst of late afternoon L.A. traffic. There was one more stop for us, and perhaps one of the most important. It was at a grocery store nearby our Best Western Motel where we could purchase some food for our dinner.
We had a great experience made even better by a wonderful guide/driver. Thank you, Reema!

Knowledgeable,courteous, and accommodating. Really knew her way around and not having a large limo made it was easy for her to park and pick us up. Every request we had was answered with no problem. Would use again and recommend.

She was very prompt picking us up at the airport! I had requested to visit the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary in LA to see the graves of many celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Kirk Douglas, Dean Martin, Farrah Fawcett, etc! It was just awesome to see all of them and more! Our next ride was through Beverly Hills, the Chinese Theater, and seeing the Hollywood sign! I got to see all of these places I have always dreamed of wanting to see! She was even kind enough to stop and let us get some lunch to take back to the airport! We had a wonderful time and I HIGHLY recommend you doing this!

We booked a tour with layoverstop for me and my sister while we were visiting Los Angeles. We stayed there for two days but the day that we booked we planned to be dropped off at the airport after being picked up from the hotel. The communication with Sara was amazing. She responded right away and made everything so simple and easy. We are in our 60s so it was great to have stops whenever we needed. We passed by the Hollywood sign and took pictures very close to it in a nice park, walked through Beverly Hills, our guide who was very nice and sweet girl told us about Greystone mansion in Beverly Hills and told us a fascinating story about the history behind it. We also stopped to have a bite at the Farmers Market by the Grove. She pointed out all the must see locations and was very informative. Her driving was safe and we had water bottles and banana in the car as a snack. We highly recommend layoverstop services. Thank you so much.

I was travelling from Melbourne to Atlanta with a long layover in LA.
I was considering renting a car and driving around by myself but I also checked several operators and reviews and can confirm that all my expectations were met. It was well worth it.
After reaching out to Layoverstop via their website Sara got in touch quickly and provided a run down of options. Once we defined possibilities and expectations Jenny stepped in as the local Experience Manager and guided me along the way via WhatsApp. We chatted once in a while all the way till my landing at LAX where she picked me up in her cosy SUV that could easily accommodate my huge suitcase thus also eliminating the hassle of finding a storage locker.
Jenny was very informative and accommodating to flexibly adapt to points of interest along the way. We browsed Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica with a quick tour of a few more suburbs to give me a flair of what LA has to offer.
6 hours ended quickly and felt like an hour. Jenny was at all times on top of the time and traffic to make sure I will not be late back to LAX for my next flight.
I can highly recommend tours with Layoverstop to anyone who would like to see what LA has to offer prior to any future holiday plans in the area. I wish Jenny many more satisfied clients.

I was in my way home (alone) from Costa Rica to Australia and had hours to kill in LAX. I just happened across this company and was thrilled to find they could manage a tour for me in this time. I got through customs faster than estimated so was early. I called Jenny and she was happy to pick me up earlier than booked and said we could fit more into the tour with the extra time. I was very keen to go to Sant Monica pier and to drive through Beverley Hills. I left the rest up to Jenny who very thoughtfully planned the rest after finding what my interests were. She timed the tour so I would be at the pier at sunset and it was magical. She gave me as much time as I wanted. She also dropped me on Hollywood blvd where the stars are on the footpath, the Chinese Theatre, showed me the hotel in Pretty Woman, and we went down Rodeo drive past the most beautiful and expensive homes. She also took some photos of me with the Hollywood sign in the background as we did not have time to go all the way up. I was dropped right out front of the departure area for my airline in plenty of time. Jenny is a bright, bubbly personality and she is perfect for a tour such as this. I enjoyed my time with her immensely and would recommend these tours, and Jenny.

Fantastic private tour company. Our tour guide Jenny was amazing and tailored a tour of Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Santa Monica & Venice Beach for my family. She was so flexible with the time we spent in each location and we had such a memorable day. Highly recommend this private tour company. Thanks Jenny!

We had a few hours only to see LA before we had planned a half day at Universal Studios (24hrs in LA). LayoverStop were perfect for our situation and were a delight to deal with. Visiting from Australia, the planning emails were answered promptly and explained in detail what service they could offer. Having requested to visit some unique places Downtown was no issue for Jenny our guide. Jenny picked us up from our hotel after a long flight in her cute white Jeep. The four of us had the best time with her, it was like touring the city with a close friend. She listened to our interests and even make a special stop for us to purchase a US Sim card for our mobile phones. We visited; Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Gizmo's Cereal Bar, The Last Bookstore, The Hollywood Stars and Beverly Hills. Jenny even drove us past Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Binoculars Building and Mulholland Drive because we'd talked about our interests/careers. None of this would have been possible if I hadn't stumbled across this fabulous company and had the most incredible host, Jenny. I thoroughly recommend this company, you might even be lucky enough to have Jenny as your host. You won't regret it, I promise. The best value for money. We will see you next time we are in sunny LA. Thank you!

I booked the 4 hour tour a couple of weeks in advance to help pass the time during our 11 hour stop over at LAX. I wasn’t sure what to expect but can say we had a great time. Jenny our host picked us up at 8am. She was very welcoming and provided us with lots of information throughout the tour. My teenage daughter is a big Elvis fan and as well as taking us to see Elvis’s star on the Walk of Fame she’d also done some research and took us to see Elvis’s former home, which was great! The tour gave us a taste of what LA has to offer and we even managed a quick stop at the Cheesecake Factory before returning to the airport at 1pm. I would definitely recommend this company for a tour.

Hello Beautiful,
the best landmarks to visit are the Hollywood Sign. Then a short drive down the hill we will take you to spend time on Hollywood Boulevard which includes walking through the Star Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese theater (where major movie premiers take place) then check out the Dolby Theater (where the academy awards take place), and of course we have to see the sign from far away (from Hollywod boulevard) and have In-n-out burger to complete the experience. We customize the tour around your schedule, and on the way back to the Airport we will drive through Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills. Please feel free to contact us for any other inquiries.

Hi ladies.i know getting though customs can be a pain. But someone told me collecting bags was a pain. As they weren’t easy to find in the large airport. This delayed getting though customs & less time to see LA with LAstopover tours.

If you're planning to take a tour while you're on a long layover at LAX, it is recommended to travel with carry on luggage only to maximize your sightseeing time. This will shorten the time needed to collect your luggage and then re-check them again when you're ready to take off. (But also, what takes long is the immigration que). Specially if you're arriving between noon and 3:00PM, at the international terminal, TBT. If you're planning to visit LA for more than just the layover time then you'll have plenty of time to collect the luggage and clear custom.
