I opted to visit Paradise Cove Beach early on a Monday morning and got a primo spot in PCH. The parking is ridiculously priced at the beach and PCH is free. It is a short walk down a road without sidewalks and I arrived to find the water way higher than during my previous visit. All the same I basically had the beach to myself. Got to stroll as far as I could along the sand (was limited to the paradise cove beach only because of the high water). Walking out on the pier was also nice since I didn’t do that last time and there were tons of seagulls about (two different species I believe based on their coloring). Also like my previous visit, I picked up any trash I saw and properly disposed of it. Go early or late and you too could find great PCH parking and enjoy the beauty of the beach.

This place is an absolute joke. The cost of parking is ridiculous, it's the smallest beach, which is covered mostly by chairs and umbrellas that you have to rent. The most laughable part is the cost of those umbrellas and chairs, $700 for a cabana and 150 for the chair and umbrella and it's not even a nice beach!, The water was brown and full of weed. We left after 15 minutes. It was atrocious. Will never ever go back. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Cute little place to spend with family. We drive down to the unexpected. Parking lot for beach access during weekdays is $45 & weekends $65 if you don’t dine and validate at the restaurant. Validated, 4 hours will be $10 on the weekdays & $15 on the weekends. Ok let’s check out the beach. Cute little signs as you walk in, lots of umbrellas and restaurant with a view. Once you walk down to the beach I you see small beach area and lots of people, not much beach to lay out on. Lots of families, kids, & dogs. Yup dogs are allowed to swim here apparently. There’s a lifeguard on duty. Spent a few hours here, there are nice white lawn chairs you can sit and enjoy the view.
Once in the water, yeah that’s where this brought the review to almost one star. There are crashing waves, and in the middle of that plenty boulders your typer toes might get hurt by. Aside the crashing waves, this beach really needs some cleanup. There’s foreign things in the water and tons of seaweed/marine plants that will entangle every time the waves crash. The worst part of it all and which went unnoticed during our time in the water was the spots my daughter’s bathing suit and chest came back with. At first I thought it was seaweed but when the sticky stuff wouldn’t come off her chest as a mom I had to sniff, I realized it’s tar/petroleum spots! It smells just like the stuff city uses when they pave roads. I felt horrible I hadn’t realized that was in the water. Keep your kids out of these waters. On my walk I also noticed two ducts that are open and who knows what kind of water/waste ends up on this part of the beach.
If you go to eat ok nice vibe but then again idk what you’ll see in the water…

Horrible service and took over an hour for the food to arrive after we ordered, and while good was somewhat lukewarm. Our waiter was non existent and multiple people who came in after us were served before us. For the high price of food service should be better.

Like many before I got reemed on the parking after deciding the Cafe was not for us. Read the signs carefully and don't make the same mistake as me.

A great restaurant with good food, good service, and nice views. However, they add a 5% SURCHARGE to every bill. Like most people I hate this. If they want more money, they should just raise their prices. I would have no problem if they raised their prices 5%. I just don't like surcharges for ANY reason. Charge what you need to charge. Better restaurants NEVER have sir charges, including surcharges for credit cards.

The parking cost here is very expensive and the staff were not very friendly.
Would never go there again.
You have to spend a certain sum on food in the restaurant but this is not clear until you go to leave.

Very expensive parking. Not visitor friendly. It seems the the Paradise Cove Cafe wants visitors to spend money. I would have gone to the cafe for a snack, they didn’t need to charge 45$ US for parking. We pulled a u-turn and left. Area is obviously privately owned by the cafe. We went to the next public beach a few feet away and parking was free.

The environment is lovely. Quaint, reminiscent of Malibu back in the day. The restaurant, however, was awful. We were eyed up and down upon arrival and informed “you know, you need to order food”. we were well aware, as it was well indicated before entering. We were put at a table behind shrubs with poor ocean view and when food was delivered it was actually slid on the table and the server walk away with out a word. A beautifully dressed couple was seated next to us at a table that apparently was “for a large party”, right after we sat down. You know, you really can’t judge a book…..mistake, big mistake!! If only they knew. Honestly, I don’t write reviews unless they are good ones. This was such a bad experience I thought you should be forewarned. A pricey stop is no problem when it’s charming and friendly. This is a no friends zone. So disappointing. P.S. Food mediocre. And I didn’t even mention the bathroom…..

Filthy. I used to like coming here but the quality of food and cleanliness has gone down. This place makes a ton of money and is a tourist spot, why not maintain it? Wash your booths, they feel like you’re going to get a disease from sitting there. Train your employees to be more hospitable, our waiter took long to take our drink order, then disappeared throughout the meal leaving our drinks empty. If your paying a higher price, the expectation is that the quality of service should match. Also don’t order the bread appetizer, the knife wouldn’t even go through it, it was hard as a rock.

Yes. The fee to park is $6 if you purchase $40+ of food and drink. But you can only stay for a couple of hours. Or you can park all day for $40. Only debit/credit card, no cash, at the kiosk.

You don't have to park there if you just want to use the beach. Plenty of parking just a little North, on the other side of the restaurant.
If you do want to use the beach @ restaurant, I think it's $8. If you eat @ restaurant, parking is only $3
