On many occasions this year we've biked from Shoreline Lake past Moffitt Field, down to Sunnyvale and back. Well-maintained packed-dirt-on-the-levees trail, plenty of birds and open space. It's been a real sanity-saver during this year of mostly-stay-at-home lockdown!

We started on the Bay Trail from the Shoreline Lake Boathouse and then merged onto the Adobe Creek Trail. It is a simple, easy hike on mostly flat ground, much of it paved. Easy for walking, biking or pushing a stroller. Be sure to bring a jacket as it can get quite breezy/cold on the bay and also a mask, as it can be crowded. This is also a good trail for bird watching – especially when you turn onto the Adobe Creek Loop Trail.

My husband and I enjoyed a nice walk along the Bay Trail. We liked seeing the rivers, the shrubbery, and birds.

We took a walk on the Bay Trail. This is a nice trail (and in this area level) with awesome views of the Bay, One can often see birds and geese in this area as well.

Its a very unique place if you like to walk and see birds and see land meeting water. Only one point to remember is to get out at least an hour before dark if you dont want to be stung by mosquitos!

I love that the trail is pretty and breezy. However, it's paved, and though some areas have a dirt portion to run on, it's mostly paved and hard on the joints for distance runners. Overall, the trail goes for endless miles, and the views change which keeps it interesting.
Given the bay area traffic, the trail is a great way get around by bike.

We wanted some exercise and so we headed to Bay Trail with our son and his family. The trail allowed us to walk in some really pretty surroundings. Our granddaughter enjoyed the wildlife and had fun trying to identify everything she spotted.

Met a friend for a picnic lunch followed by a brisk walk. It was very easy to get to and a welcome and surprising respite amidst the high-tech nearby. There is a restaurant on site, as well as golf, and well-groomed walking trails + many geese/goslings :) and ample parking. It is not far off 101, but feels miles away from the Peninsula hub-bub.

Close to Highway 101 with good parking, who would imagine you could go for a walk out into the bay, see marshes, birds and wildlife and enjoy nature so close to the stores and offices

well controlled friendly crowds of all hues and generations, great play areas for kids , lots of lawn fort play and picnic, fresh air, 50 plus varieties of wild birds, no dogs allowed , great bike paths
