“很棒，很有趣的科技动手实践，很适合小孩”

非常非常多的展品，节目，可以观看，还有望远镜可以看到整个科学会馆的容貌。那里还有一个望远镜工作室，可以反射你模样的镜子而且帮你做属于你自己的多布森望远镜。但是很不幸，这个博物馆门票挺贵的，这会阻拦很多家庭来参观。

Free telescope viewings on Friday and Saturday evening

Although the planatarium is closed in the evenings, there are staff at each of the 3 telescopes who will explain what each telescope is pointed at. We got to see the moon, Mars and a constellation from each of the telescopes during our visit. My kids loved it. Highly recommended!

WOW!!! Look at the stars!

This is a wonderful place that I discovered this past summer. There was free star-gazing, although it had to be curtailed due to fog coming in. However, the docents were wonderful and informative, and I plan on going back very soon!

So small, wasn’t even there an hour and that’s with a planetarium visit. Definitely not worth $24. Was of money and time.

Amazing!

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Chabot Space and Science Center. We had a small group reservation at the outdoor observatory due to Covid regulations and the team at Chabot Space took such great care to keep us feel safe and comfortable, and enable us to enjoy the magic of our beautiful night sky. We saw Jupiter and it's moons, Saturn and its rings, Mars, the M15 star cluster etc. The outdoor deck is a beautiful space to safely connect with people, and reconnect with nature.

Universe to explore & kid friendly

We became family members on the first visit! This place is a little gem hidden in the hills above Berkeley/Oakland and has heaps of kid-friendly hands-on activities to explore (toddlers to teenagers). For us big kids, the is lots to learn and explore along with the outside telescopes. The Planetarium is phenomenal as well.

Do yourself a favor and support this awesome venue!

worthwhile and improving

The science center is fun for kids of all ages. They’ve been stepping up their game and adding more hands-on exhibits, particularly the little-kids play area on the main floor, and the exhibit space on the top floor which has circuits to build, stop-motion animation, blocks/crafts to build with, marble runs, etc. Some of the newest stuff (eg making a mini Mars rover drive via coding) doesn’t work consistently well, but there’s definitely enough to occupy my elementary age kids. There’s an on-site cafeteria that employs former foster youth (woo hoo!) and a planetarium. Parking is free in lot next door. Keep an eye out for special events like “Tinkerfest” (our favorite part being taking apart a real junked car) and Bubblefest. Finally, Chabot features the best cheap date ever, with periodic world-class telescope viewing (see their website for days/times). This place is worth your time.

Nerd out with telescopes!

My fiancé and I went during an evening event. There was plenty of parking and the event was definitely not very crowded. They had a few bar stations set up with each one offering a unique cocktail and the bar staff were all very friendly. The main reason we wanted to attend was to check out the telescopes and we weren’t disappointed. We got to check out both Saturn and Jupiter! If you want to see celestial bodies and have a drink or two this is the place. If you’re expecting a party, look elsewhere :)

So unexpectedly good!

We made our first visit last weekend and I immediately took out a Family Membership.

I was super-impressed with what this "museum" had to offer. Very educational and very hands-on with lots of things to investigate - whether you are 5 years old or 75 years old. The Planetarium is awesome and a great facility. Outside you have access to 3 working telescopes and other outdoor science "experiments" to explore.

This place catered very well to kids, tweens, teens, and adults. The volunteers are all very helpful and you can tell want to be there. Plus, the drive up to the center is great with National Parks all around, and the landscaping surrounding the center acts like a camouflage and is quite peaceful...nice!
