A favorite of the locals. However, we prefer the Sunday Farmers Market on California Avenue. The Sunday market offers a better variety of vendors for produce and other products. It also provides food vendors including freshly cooked chickens, Mexican food, baked food from Manressa, Asian food and more.

Not only was the food, (both prepared and to be prepared) so delicious, but we found a vendor selling Japanese vegetables, and even the special plums for making ume boshi, which we had never seen at a farmers market in Colorado. The lady was so surprised when we started speaking Japanese to her they she gave us all her tips for pickling the plums, and now 2 months later, they taste just how they are supposed to, sublime! Thank you friendly vendor.

We stumbled upon the Farmer's Market by accident and it was a real treat. We walked around and admired the beautiful vegetables, the colorful "natives" and had a delicious lunch. I mean "natives" in the positive sense that people in California are just more interesting than folks from the Chicago suburbs!

A wonderful community farmers market, just amazing. The french guys with their amazing bread, get there early! Although it is very local, many of the farmers do come from the valley bringing tomatoes, melons, berries and more. Lots of samples, music and a really great vibe!

Nice, small farmer's market to buy some veggies and food, and also variety of goods. Good place to walk and spend some time while in Palo Alto.

This is a small neighborhood farmers market featuring most veggie staples and some exotic food items. Most of the tops are greens, tomatoes, squash, oranges, peach variations, along with artisan breads, cheese and honey. They also have a very nice set of around 3 flower vendors. Also, across the street is around 4 food stalls (usually Oaxacan Mexican, crepes, artisan cookies, and a dessert stall).
All in all, it probably wouldn't be worth a trip for out of towners, but its fabulous for PA residents. Season is generally March-November.

the down town market is open on Saturday am only. I believe it opens at 8 and runs until about 12.
there is a bigger market on Sunday morning on California ave..from 9 to 1.
