Fun place! Not crowded (5:40 Friday show). It's a throwback, not only to the art deco period, but to the more recent period of history when you could go somewhere entertaining without being blasted by prices and crowds and ads. I mean, there are plenty of ads here, for things like "Gold Diggers of 1933." Enjoy!

During our stay in Palo Alto visting family, we happened to see that there was the Fred Astaire film festival from Feb until April 2024, Friday to Sunday. I wanted to see this magnificent theatre and being able to see a Fred Astaire movie was the greatest occasion! It was magical, this theatre which dates back to the 1920s is so beautiful! The red velvet curtains, the original movie posters, the balcony 😍 and the organist who played jazz classics in-between movies. It was such a great experience ❤️❤️❤️ you should definitely visit this theatre!

Attending movies in the Stanford theater is a step back in time. The popcorn, the older movies, the elaborate interior makes for a very nice experience.

Have been to this theater many times, always an excellent experience. Senors only $5.00 dollars, inexpensive snacks. Organ music prior to movie.

Perfection is the best way to describe The Stanford Theatre! The ambiance cannot be equaled --from the most entry fee, to the plush seats, organ recital and vintage films, this is a treasure in every way.
Double features--if you can sit that long! A lovely balcony! Sometimes couples dancing in the aisles to the organ!

We come here quite often w/ our boys (13 and 11) to watch the old movies. We've seen so many of them and it's always a great time. The tickets are cheap, the theater itself is beautiful inside, and the movie options are always extensive and great choices.
