I really like Old Town Pasadena. So far, its resisted being "gentrified" by outside yuppy-trendy businesses, although they're starting to trickle in. Walk around - poke your nose into the various/sundry shops. You'll have a good time...

I was unable to locate the terror of Colorado Blvd. I drove back and forth. Didn't' seem like there was anything too special about the town.

We decided to to a walk on Colorado Blvd. it was not very crowded most people had on masks and we thought that was great

Rode my bicycle here today with some friends. Very little traffic on a Sunday.
Saw lots of old buildings, some neat windows, but also a lot of buildings for lease. Just the same take a walk and enjoy.

Was thinking this would be a charming place to shop with lots of cute shops. Instead saw Crate and Barrel, Tiffany’s and tons of other shops I can find back home. Lovely buildings but disappointed! Better charming shops off this street!

I am looking for a motel that has a balcony facing the parade route on Colorado blvd. I would like a room with a balcony so I can walk out my room to see the parade

For the first part of the parade route along Colorado Boulevard from Orange Grove Blvd. to east of Lake Avenue, I don't think there are any hotels along the prime areas of the parade route, let alone with balconies. The area is commercial with business and office buildings. I think the hotels are not on Colorado Blvd. Not too familiar with east of Lake Avenue.

The Hilton, an older hotel, is at the center of the city and convenient to the theater, Asian Museum and mall. The newer hotels at west Colorado are near the freeways, the Norton Simon Museum and Old Pasadena with trendy shops, lots of restaurants and evening activity. I think that all of the large hotels are high quality for comfort and service, but the newer ones are more elegant.
