Lots of parking, but the lot fills up during the holidays---best to get there early then. Helpful instore information desk, and courteous cashiers. Great instore book selection. Good writing-instrument, board-game, jig-saw puzzle, and calendar sections.

Had never been here before but always wanted to go. After a Facebook plea from the owners to help their business during Covid, a friend and i made the trip out to pasadena for breakfast and Vroman's. Loved this place! Huge, and has so much more than just books. Seasonal decor, art supplies, gifts, you name it. Would love to go back when things are "back to normal" and hope so much that they are able to stay open

Just came back from a long weekend in Pasadena. I have to say that Vroman's is a local gem. Warm and inviting. I really appreciated how the various sections were set up with related materials. Awesome fountain pen and ink selections - with staff that are both knowledgeable and friendly. The ink colour choices were outstanding.
They opened a wine bar area last week. Fun to have a nice glass of wine and a munchie after making your purchases. Once again the staff super friendly and welcoming. I wish we could have a Vroman's in the East Bay!

This is a fabulous book store +. They have cards, gift items, and so much more. They even have a coffee cafe. The selection is extensive!

We loved browsing and spending our dollars in Vromans, it is a truly memorable bookstore with a lively atmosphere. Also visited the café and enjoyed sitting outside pleased with our new purchases.

Local book stores are a dying breed in the Amazon age, sadly. It used to be a comforting way to spend a bit of time: browse through a large variety of current books and magazines, have coffee and a snack, find a bit of art. There are historical photos of VRomans from the original opening period, places for children to look at age-appropriate books, and reading sessions for them. You can even get fountain pens and specialty papers, gifts, and a variety of odds and ends. Mostly, you can relax, enjoy, and remember why a trip to the book store used to be such a joy.

Vroman's is one of the few remaining independents, and worth the trip to be surrounded with a great collection of books and people.
